A beautifully chilly morning along the lakefront. Especially cool with the “slushy” water and an early-morning fog that made the path just a little slick. Still a wonderful way to start my day…. with plenty of layers!

Well, it’s been awhile since we’ve seen any sun in the morning lately! Its just been cloudy, cloudy, CLOUDY!!!… and gray! So I was excited today to finally get a sunrise to share… even if it only lasted a couple minutes… and then right back into gray nothingness!

After a long weekend of HOLIDAY HOME SHOW set-up, hosting, chatting, schmoozing & selling… it felt SO good to be back on the bike this morning for another AMAZING morning sunrise. Always the best way to start my day!!!

Morning sunrise vibes… with a big cloud moving in just in time to catch some early morning color. A beautiful way to start the day… before turning on the kiln!

A chilly morning for a bike ride, but it was so nice to finally NOT have snow or rain!!!
Beautiful colors for a brief moment and then back to cloudy grayness!

So I’m guessing that I’m one of the few people who actually look forward to Daylight Saving Time ending. Sure, it’s darker a lot sooner in the evening… but it does give me that “extra” hour in the morning to get back out on my bike for some sunrise fun!!!

So many clouds… and just minutes of a sunrise.
Striking and dramatic, but oh so fleeting. And then back to gray…

Lots of clouds this morning. Mostly gray… more gray… gray, gray & more gray….
and the suddenly… just four mere minutes of BEAUTIFUL!!!
And then back to gray…

Warmer, but windier! It was tough pedaling into the wind all the way south to the City. But let me just say… the ride home was pretty fast & sweet. Tailwinds are so much more fun!

A chilly start to a beautiful morning… who knew that I would need so many layers & gloves so early in Fall?! I could see my breath!!! Let me just say, it was about 40-degrees when I started… and went up only two degrees while I was pedaling! Too cold. Too soon. I’m not ready for this!
