Cloudy all morning, so I waited to ride my bike for the sun to come out later this afternoon. But with it came the WIND!!! So windy… so gusty… it might have been the “funnest” & funniest ride I’ve had for a long time. The wind was swirling everywhere… from the left side, right side, back side, front side! Blowing leaves off the trees sweeping across the path. Debris flying. Feeling like you might literally get blown over!!!

So much fun… but a bit sad watching the color on the trees literally blow away on what might be one of the last beautiful days of Fall… mwah, mwah, mwah….

Lots of clouds for the sun to play with this morning… even if only for a few fleeting moments. We were rewarded with a stunning sunrise this morning… but now it looks like it might be clouds for the rest of the day?!

So nice to have warm mornings back… good to go sleeveless jersey & bike shorts again! No gloves this morning. Just a serene pastoral haze that took awhile for the sun to burn through. But it came up like a big red rubber ball… reflections bouncing on the water!

Hazy skies & crashing waves. A bit more of a chilling wind than I expected… you can definitely feel Fall in the air this morning.

A little warmer this morning, but a bit hazy too. It too awhile for the sun to work its way through the low-flying haze over the lake.

Okay, I get it. Summer’s over! You don’t have to beat me over the head with it. But starting out this morning with temps in the upper 30’s seemed to seal the deal! Layers. Layers. Layers. Too soon for my liking & biking!

and did I mention “cool”?… err, I mean COLD!!!

It was another unseasonably cold morning requiring lots of layers & gloves. It’s far too soon to be seeing my breath while I ride! Eventually the clouds dispersed, yet I’m pretty sure I didn’t want be under that stormy cloud across the lake in Michigan!

Chilly, dark & windy… welcome to October!!! I may have to finally admit to myself that Summer is over… as the temperature gauge said it was 44-degrees outside this morning as I piled on the layers for this morning’s sunrise ride! And sadly, we didn’t even get much of a sunrise “prize” as the clouds moved in and took over the morning light.

Plenty of clouds & plenty of wind. It was a little windy from the west this morning… making it feel a bit like a headwind in both directions! But worth the extra effort with this kind of sunrise glory! Beautiful colors splashing across the sky!

Finally, after several days of hazy cloud-free morning skies… we were finally treated with some beautiful clouds this morning. Giving the sun something to play with… creating a splash of colors, and then playing hide & seek. A beautiful start to a beautiful Saturday morning.
