After playing with fire all day yesterday, it was great to relax this morning with a “fiery” sunrise bike ride! A bit of a chilled breeze with clouds blowing in… but always a great way to start the day!

Rippled glass block sunrise in the studio!

Lots of clouds this morning with a damp morning haze. Beautiful reflections on the rippled water while the sun tired to burn through the cloud cover.

With warmer weather on the way, it sure felt like Spring is definitely coming! Almost all of our snow & ice has melted away along the lakefront… and the early morning reflections were a great way to start the day!

With big clouds blowing through, there was some good potential for a beautiful sunrise this morning. Unfortunately, the clouds won!!! Still, it was amazing to be back out on the bike for my sunrise bike ride. The clouds were dramatic with the sun making a few intermittent appearances… as the wind was blowing making a strong headwind for the ride back home!

Not a cloud in the sky. Just a hazy start to the morning… with some treacherous sidewalks along the way! With some overnight rain & morning fog, there were random patches of ice all along the way… slip-sliding away!!! Made me giggle as I had to catch my balance more than once!

Another big sky moment this morning along the lakefront.

Icebergs are melting, snow piles shrinking. Mushy puddles abound. Always fun to play along the lakefront in the morning sun… anxious to get my bike back out on the trail. But I fear we’re still a few days away with all of the slushy mess out there!

Big sky color. Big sky clouds.
Perfect for a big panoramic photo… with plenty of big floating ice chunks!

Another beautiful morning along the lakefront. Plenty of snow mountains, city glaciers and floating chunks of icebergs! A clouded sky with wispy colors blowing through… as soon enough the clouds took over the morning sky.
