I woke up to a lot of clouds this morning… but after yesterday’s rain, it felt like I had a little “window of opportunity” to see a bit of sun on my morning ride. It broke through the clouds for a few fleeting moments before going back behind them… most likely for the rest of the day!

Early morning glow behind the trees… nice day for a road trip!

Just a sliver of sunshine early on… then clouds, clouds & more CLOUDS! Nothing but gray clouds covering the sky, a chilly breeze & low-flying clouds hovering amongst the Chicago skyline… so glad I caught that sliver of color!

It was wonderful to wake up to warm temperatures this morning… not having to pile on the layers like Sunday when it was 45-degrees all day! Sure, it would have felt a lot warmer if we got a sun-shiny morning… but instead we got colorful layers of clouds shrouding the sun along with some golden drama!

Another chilly & breezy morning. Clouds in the sky giving the sun something to play with… but only for a few moments before the sun ducked back behind the clouds.

With one big cloud moving in, we had a small window of opportunity for a bit of a sunrise this morning… and we got it. Not as pretty as yesterday, but a lot more dramatic! Yet all too soon, the sun went behind the clouds… not to be seen again!

It felt a little warmer this morning as the clouds were gently drifting across the sky. Quiet & serene as the sun beautifully worked its way above the horizon and into the clouds.

Is it just me, or does it feel like 20-degrees colder “just because” the sun isn’t shining?! The dark gloomy clouds to start the morning made my ride feel surprisingly cold today. My mind is ready for Summer… but today we’re struggling to make it feel like Spring.

Not a cloud in the sky… just clear sailing this morning on my bike. A little chilly still along the lakefront… but Spring is warming up nicely… just not this morning!

Another beautifully clouded morning… with even more clouds rolling in as I pedaled on. So happy I had these quiet moments along the lakefront before the rain comes in today… and most likely stays through tomorrow!
