Clear skies with some crazy contrails this morning. Little breezy with some chilly fingers… mental note to self… get warmer gloves! I do believe that this morning was our first hard frost of Winter… and my fingers could tell!

And while we had a nice sunrise happening over the lake…
a quick look over the shoulder showed a beautiful full moon still hanging out to the West.

A beautiful start to another beautiful day. The water was choppy with a cold wind blowing in off the lake… but the sunrise was beautiful as the colored clouds made a nice backdrop for the skyline.

A little sunrise “present” this morning to start off my Christmas Day. It was great to finally NOT have a gray, rainy & overly clouded morning. It felt good to start my day with a nice bike ride… now bring on the Christmas treats & sweets!!!

Beautiful sunrise potential this morning… until the dramatic cloud cover moved in!

Weathered wood & sunrise reflections… two of my favorite things combined.

Wispy clouds & colorful contrails crossing the sky this morning.
Quiet with a slight breezy chill in the air.

A quiet morning along the lake… practically clear skies early on with just a few flying low along the horizon. But then the contrails seemed to appear from nowhere… criss-crossing the sky with colorful stripes!

Dramatic clouds this morning… including an interesting “beam” of sunrise brightness shooting upwards early on. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this sort of sunrise effect before… not really sure what was going on?! Soon enough though, the clouds lit-up, the sun showed off for a few minutes and then went back behind the clouds… most likely for the rest of the day!

Red skies in the morning… uh oh…

So it looked like we might have some good sunrise potential this morning. But instead the wind gusts were there, the waves were crashing & the clouds took over the sky. Looks like it’s going to be a blustery gray day… with rain moving in later in the day!
