Technical difficulties resolved… and now retroactively catching up!

Freezing cold. Windy. Tons of clouds on the horizon.
So do I get up and freeze on my bike?… or roll over a go back to bed for another hour?
Yep… get up and pedal. After a couple of the most spectacularly colorful sunrises ever…
this morning was surprisingly gray, cloudy and yet still very beautiful. Especially with an
incredible crescent moon out over the water… and the clouds “layered up” on the horizon!

Just when you thought that the early morning glow was spectacular enough,
then the entire sky lights up in the most vibrant shades of oranges & purples!
One of the most stunning sunrises yet. And trust me, I’ve seen a lot of them this year…

And the view looking back at the city wasn’t too shabby either with a hazy glow!

Yep… another spectacular morning sunrise. Can they get any better?!

I love Fall. I especially love the spectacular sunrises we get in Fall.
For some reason, the sunrises seem to be just a bit more spectacular during Fall?!
Maybe because you need to suffer through the freezing cold mornings to enjoy it?

And now for the sunrise purists in the crowd…
For those who love incredible cool, vibrant & almost fluorescent sunrises!
There was this one perfect cloud in just the right place at turned this crazy
shade of neon red for a few minutes this morning. It was breathtaking!

The sun continued to rise… and the sunrise continued to get better & better!
Turning all different shades of vibrant colors. And this time, with my bike!

As the sun continued to rise, I was at North Avenue Beach turning around
when the morning glow began to create beautiful colors on the horizon.
Now you know how I like some geometric structure in front of the sunrise
for contrast… it’s not my bike, but it does the same effect!

Off for another sunrise bike ride… and it was VERY dark this morning!

And back into the sunshine.

After yesterday’s gloominess, today’s crisp & clear morning was a welcome surprise!
Don’t get me wrong, it was still very cold. And I feel like I’m getting accustomed to
the many layers a little too quickly. I’m still hoping for a little more “Indian Summer”
but reality is setting in and I think it’s going to be cold for awhile. Too bad the bright
sunrise doesn’t warm up the morning very quickly. I could still see my breath!

With an incredibly dark, windy, cloudy, overcast, did-I-mention-windy morning,
after a very short stop for the morning photo, I couldn’t get that song out of my head?!
Not sure why… but I have an inkling…

“Roxanne… you don’t have to put on the red light…”
