The sunrise this morning was especially vibrant & stunning. I tried to get a good ride in,
but found that I spent more time taking pictures! It seemed like the sky just kept getting
better & better. Such incredible colors splashing across the sky!

But then, just a few minutes later… it was gone! The last of the sun as we’ll see it today!
Gone, but not forgotten.

This morning it was absolutely clear. Not a single cloud in the sky.
And the winds were chillier than expected. More layers than normal.
But still worth it, as the sunrise was incredibly vibrant & clean this morning!

Another beautiful morning. A few more clouds. A little more drama.
Another stunning morning and another beautiful bike ride along the lake.
Fall is definitely here… and the clothing layers are definitely adding up…
sleeves, jackets, gloves, tights, caps, etc… sadly, Summer is officially over!!!

After a beautiful weekend in the Wisconsin Northwoods,
it was great to have Fall happening all over again here in Chicago!
So many of the colored leaves literally blew away while we were at the Detour.
The tree were full when I got there, but pretty naked when I left.
We still have leaves here in Chicago… but not for long…

A beautiful morning to start my “special” day!

So it’s my last day up in the Northwoods.
Sarah and I stayed over one last night so we could drive home during the day.
So it was another night in our incredible condo-cabin… and another sunrise…

And wouldn’t you love to be sittin’ on the dock right about now?

By Sunday, I was really ready to sleep in. But then again, there was another sunrise
calling my name. Urging me to get outside to enjoy my Northwoods surroundings.
So I did. And it was very peaceful. More pastel. Less vibrant than the days before!

Another morning in the Northwoods. Another sunrise over the lake.
Sure, I could really use some more sleep… but when I know something this beautiful
is going on outside, how can I resist?! Me and my camera up early again!!!

But then… this one huge cloud decided to roll in…

And then that “one cloud” decided to bring some friends… and with that the sunrise was done!

So I’m up in the Northwoods. And it’s beautiful.
The “condo” cabin we’re renting is right on a lake facing east.
So it’s the perfect location for my morning sunrise addiction!

Still chilly… guess I need to admit to myself that Summer might indeed be over?!
I’m still hoping for warm Summer days… but I do love Fall once I commit to it.
Maybe it’s time?… c’mon Indian Summer!!!
