Sure, it may have started out dark & cloudy this morning… but it ended up
pretty darn stunning! Lots of clouds for the rising sun to play with.
Love this next one… the color, the warmth, the contrast of lights & darks!
And a beautiful view over Belmont Harbor.
All too soon these boats will start disappearing for the Winter! Yikes!!!

Another beautiful morning… with one large cloud looming ominously on the horizon. For awhile I couldn’t tell if it was coming or going. Turns out it was “going”… and we had another BEAUTIFUL day today!!!

After a long weekend at “The Barn,” it felt great to get back on my bike this morning for another beautiful sunrise ride.
Sure, it was fun seeing a lot of friends, chatting with great customers, selling a lot of pots and getting a couple ribbons along the way… but there’s still no better way to start my day than on my bike.

This morning was another cloud-free ride. Nothing too exciting. Just a beautiful ride on a beautiful day. The weather has been incredible this week!!!
But here’s the real shocker…
They’re already putting up Winter fencing along the lakefront bike trail.
What?… It’s STILL September!!! Not a good sign…

Lots of clouds this morning.
Dark & dramatic in the early hours… but I must admit,
I was a little let down when the gray clouds moved in.
Only for the sun to make a big come-back in the last few minutes with all its cloudy contrasts & golden splendor.

What started out as a beautifully clouded morning with deep indigo skies and good sunrise potential… just turned into muddled gray with even more clouds! No real sunrise. just a sliver of hope in the end.
And then the solid cloud cover rolled in… with more clouds……and even more clouds!
There’s gotta be some way to make the clouded sky look fun, right?!

Sure… it was warm & humid this morning.
Sure… I could see that it had rained overnight.
Sure… there were a lot of clouds.
Sure… there was not much chance for a pretty sunrise.
Sure… I had heard a forecast for morning rain.
Sure… I felt a few sprinkles halfway into my ride.
Sure… I could have seen the lightning off in the distance as a sign.
Sure… I could have heeded the warning thunder.
Sure… I felt a few sprinkles halfway into my ride.

Sure…. I got soaked for the last 8 miles of my ride.
Sure… it was still fun.
Sure… I know I won’t melt.
