Last night, the weather app on my phone showed a hourly forecast
of clear skies, a good sunrise, and clear sunny skies after that.

Somebody lied.

I know the Internet is “always” true…
but I guess you can’t believe everything you read on your apps now either?!  Ha!!!

Another incredible sunrise this morning.
A big sunrise deserves a big photo!

This morning was very cloudy. Not much of a sunrise coming through.
Just a glimmer of color… then more clouds.

The coolest part… besides the wind… was the splashing waves and the instantly frozen
trees along the lakefront. Splash. Freeze. Repeat.

What a difference about 10-degrees can make.
It was a bit warmer this morning, and I had too many layers on. The red sky
gave way to gray clouds as the sun never quite got the chance to break through.

A brisk & quick ride along the lake this morning. Not the most beautiful of sunrises, but a really good “reason” why I can have a LOT of extra desserts today… guilt-free!!!

More gray clouds.
Surprisingly warm at the start… even more surprisingly cold by the end of my ride.
At least a 10-degree drop in temperature.

With a sudden slice of color low on the horizon before the sun went back behind the clouds.

And gone… back to gray.

Another dark & gloomy morning…
Until…                                               wait for it…

For about seven minutes this morning the sky was awash with beautiful red clouds.
A short-lived sky show of color.

And then gone… and back to gray.

Another dark morning. Cold. Windy. Cloudy.
With no chance of a sunrise this morning!!!

After the storms on Halloween, there are still stretches of the bike trail that are showing damage. Sections have been re-paved with fresh asphalt, while others still have “sheets” of asphalt & piles of rubble that were washed right off the cement trail.

More blue skies…
this time with wispy clouds and a chance for the sun to make a grand appearance.

With a dark cloud slanted along the horizon, the clouds lit up…
and then the sun came piercing through.
