The sunrise this morning was crazy cool… and by cool, I mean COLD!!!
The air temperature was so much colder than the water temperature that there appeared
to be steam coming off the water. Crazy, right?

Is there some inverse relationship I don’t know about?…
the colder the morning the “cooler” the sunrise???

Because the past couple days have been pretty darn incredible and COLD!!!

Did I mention cold?!!!

Another chilly morning. A lot of “frozen” all around.
The sunrise made it feel a bit warmer, but when I got home I heard it was only 17-degrees…
9-degrees with the wind chill.   Yikes!!! Thank goodness for LAYERS!!!

First ride of the New Year. A little chilly, but it felt great to kick the year off right!!!

Okay… well, we had a glimmer of sunrise… and that’s it.

One last morning bike ride for 2015. Sure, there’s snow on the ground and it’s a little cold, but the streets & bike trail were pretty clear… so I had to squeeze in just one more! Unfortunately, the clouds were there squeezing in one more too!

The perfect start to my Christmas morning as the clouds came rolling through.
It was a beautiful ride with practically no one else on the bike trail.
Like I had the whole place to myself. A wonderful gift. Merry Christmas to ME!!!

Well, it sure doesn’t feel like Christmas Eve?!
But I’ll take it… an early morning sunrise “gift” here on December 24th.

Another cold & cloudy morning bike ride with beautiful reflections rippling on the Lake. The sun tried, and tried, but the clouds won out until later in the morning. No real sunrise again! Still better than rain… or even worse, snow?!
