After several days of gray, gloomy morning skies, it was great to finally see the sun again. Sure it looked a little iffy at first… red sky and all… but the gusty headwinds took care of that!!! And we ended up with patchy clouds and a beautiful sunrise. Finally.

A cloudy morning ride past Belmont Harbor. By the time I got downtown, some of the buildings were truncated by low-flying clouds. Luckily, a little sun tried to find its way through the clouds… but to no avail.

After yesterday’s clouds, today was completely clear. Just blue skies, an orange reflecting glow and an odd line of lights in the early morning sky. Look closely… it’s just a line-up of airplanes headed towards O’Hare.

It was a cloudy & gloomy start to the day. Very windy along the lake… but really cool to see the storm front moving out. You know that dotted line with triangles on it that they always show on the Weather News?… well I think I saw it this morning?!

Just a sliver of a sunrise early on… followed by beautiful clouds blowing through the City. The tailwind home was fun, as were the crashing waves along the shoreline.

The first half of my ride was into the wind. Beautiful clouds making beautiful colors… but the ride home was SWEET!!! Gotta love a good morning tailwind pushing you home!!!

A beautiful morning. A little on the chilly side. Feels like Fall… and I’m still in “summer mode.” Didn’t appreciate having to wear long sleeves this morning! But this sunrise made it worthwhile!!!
