Another beautiful morning… were two-for-two!
And I’m loving this unusually dry & snow-free Winter!

There was a large cloud passing through this morning… with some odd sunlight bursting through creating an orange beam of lighting shooting up towards the heavens. Holy sunbeam Batman!

Sure, it was a bit chilly.
But with enough layers on it wasn’t too bad… and a great ride with a sunrise like this!!!

And then it turned orange…

And then it was gone…

Another cold morning in Chicago. Cloudy skies covering the sunrise.
The lake is still frozen with a forecast of warm temps this weekend to melt the slushy surface!

A beautifully cold morning with wonderful shades of purples, pinks and oranges.

And if that weren’t enough… just when I had put away my camera and started moving on, a scraggy coyote strolled right past. Paused to look at me while I scrambled for my camera… but he ambled on before I could snap the shot. Shoot!!!... err, no shoot!!!

Kicking off the New Year with a wonderful sunrise bike ride. A little on the cloudy side, but still the best way to start the day. The sun finally found a way to break through for a beautiful, albeit brief, sunrise over Lake Michigan.

And then just one last treat I picked up at the end of my ride to celebrate the New Year! As for tomorrow reality sets in… and I get back to the normal routine of things. Back to work. Back to the studio. Back to eating better. Back to working out. You know the drill… Welcome to 2017.

So nice to have the holidays over. All the planning, shopping, decorating.
Done. Done. And DONE.

Now for the “chore” of getting everything back to normal.
And this morning was one sunrise in the right direction!!!
