Headwinds for the first half of a chilly morning ride.
The ride home was a LOT more fun… as the waves were splashing all around.

Gray & dreary this morning for the perfect “urban sunrise”?!

My morning started out early at an empty Belmont Harbor.

It was another beautiful morning. Good clouds. Good color. Great ride.
Not too shabby as we get close to finishing out February, huh?!

And back again at Belmont Harbor… a bit brighter than it was a few miles earlier!

A beautiful start to the day… with a forecast of our amazing warm-spell coming to an end soon. Clear skies this morning with clouds filling in throughout the day… and maybe rain? Glad I got out to play before it all “breaks bad” later this evening!

And a few miles later as I pedaled home past the golf course…

Later this morning, the sun tried its best to break through.
Finally making it happen with a wonderful train bridge silhouette for an urban sunrise.

More clouds this morning, but still surprisingly warm.
Good color, but a few too many clouds for the sun to quite peek through.

And then the amazing color sky show ended… and we were plunged back into clouds.
Making the northern tip of Belmont Harbor look especially cold… but it wasn’t.

And a slightly still fogged-in Chicago skyline…

Big sky. Big color. Big fun!!!

Another beautiful morning with some great clouds… and even better color!
Looks like it’s going to become a beautiful day as predicted. I’m thinking studio this morning,
and then back on the bike this afternoon for a few more miles!!!

With a surprising warm spell moving through Chicago, it was great to kick-off the “weekend” with a beautiful sunrise morning. With huge hopes of more great rides as the weekend is predicted to be absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Time to get in some good miles!!!

Not a cloud in the sky. Just crisp and cool… the start of a very bright day!
