After a beautifully warm & sunny weekend in Minneapolis, it was great to get back on the bike this morning for another beautiful sunrise along the Chicago Lakefront.

Clear skies & splashing waves… a perfect way to start my Sunday morning.

After days of chilling rain, it was wonderful to get back out on the bike this morning with clear blue skies and a colorful sunrise… and some new bike “geometry” to play with!

Another beautifully warm morning with great colors splashing across the sky.

It seemed like a normal Spring sunrise… clear skies & beautiful colors.
But the real fun was the splashing & crashing waves along the lakefront.

And then the splashing fun began as I got to the edge of the Lakefront.

A beautiful morning ride with a slight chill in the air. But the sky is clear and sun’s gonna warm it up quick today… I hope. Might need to get out for another ride this afternoon after some quality studio time?!

And her she is… the Big Debut of the NEW BIKE.
Still considering if she needs a name or not… any ideas??
The top two contenders so far are… “Scarlet Don’t-Care-A”… or “The Crimson Ride.”
Thoughts???

With a big post-Tax Day sigh, this morning was surprisingly warm & sweaty for my morning run along the lake. Cloudy skies with a brief splash of color before the clouds won out and the sun disappeared for the rest of the day. Back on track… and beginning the post-tax recovery! Cha-ching $$$. Let the “healing” begin…

Okay, so I might be bike-less currently, but that doesn’t mean I need to be sunrise-less! So I tied on my running shoes and went for a quick jog through the neighborhood and along the lakefront. A nice sunrise diversion!

Crisp & clear, not a cloud in the sky…. with a definite hint of Spring in the air.

And by “sunrise” I really mean “clouded glow.” The clouds were moving fast through the City this morning. Waves of clouds rolling through. Great tailwinds for the second half of my ride… and rain three blocks from home!
