Looks like Rosene is getting creative in the garden again… adding some begonias to her stamped & soda-fired teapot. A cute little planter to spruce-up the picnic table on the deck!

Remember, the oversized flowerpot I threw for my Advanced Wheelthrowing class last session?… well, I made a large water drip tray to go with it. I decided to skip the stamps as it will sit under the flowerpot that already has plenty of stamps!

AND THEN I GOT THIS!!!

The water drip tray just came out of the bisque kiln… and the kiln un-loaders left me a note. Thanks for noticing… thanks for pointing this out Chuck!!!

Ya’ gotta love when people celebrate the holidays with a bit of pottery to make it extra festive!!! Like this sweet little sipper filled with a “festive” beverage to celebrate the Fourth of July!!!

Here’s a quick peek at Helen’s first attempt at the “sanggam” technique during our SURFACE DECORATION class last session. You basically do some stamping into the clay, then cover the entire piece with a contrasting colored slip. When that layer of slip dries up, you then scrape it all off to reveal the original surface of the piece, and the contrasting colored slip stays inlaid in the stamps… hopefully creating a smooth surface with an inlaid design. Nicely done Helen!!!

So here’s a sneak peek at some of the commission mugs with geometric shaped stamps! Looks like I need to do a little more cleaning up on them as I start to set them out to dry… but then they should make it into a bisque kiln in the next couple days!!!

Celebrating a little TEXTURE TUESDAY with one of my stamped, soda-fired & handbuilt square vases. I love how the dried allium blossoms work so well with the wavy pattern of the vase. Thanks so much for sharing your vase & flowers with all of us Rhonda!
