A few more pieces that came out of my recent soda kiln. These lidded jars & more will be available during my HOLIDAY HOME SHOW this coming weekend! I’ve been making a lot of work getting ready for this big annual event! My favorite pottery sale of the year!

We recently got some “real red” slip at Lillstreet. Some of the kids used it during Summer Camp, but we haven’t seen it being used much on “actual” pots! So I’m pretty intrigued & excited about how the red slip reacted in my soda kiln! I’m loving that the color stayed vibrant & red… but also has some cool flashing effects where it changed around the mug where the flames & soda hit the slip. This was just my first red slip mug… I’m sure there will be more!

HUGE THANKS to everyone who made it to The Cozy Cottage Friday & Saturday! We had a great time seeing everyone… err, well their safely masked eyes & foreheads anyways?! So much fun hanging out all day with a couple of My Talented Friends. Thanks to everyone who came to The Cottage!

Also found some time to add wire rings to my newest batch of double star ornaments… getting ready for next weekend’s MY HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS HOME SHOW!!!

So my textured picture frames just came out of the glaze kiln… and I’m totally diggin’ the colors, the textures and how well they’re all playing together! Now I just need to pair them up with Mary Foster’s mini-paintings for THE COZY COTTAGE POP-UP this Friday & Saturday. Always fun to put her colorful gouache paintings in my textured picture frames!

Doing a little glaze inlay into the stamped impressions on a bunch of mugs! I’m filling the stamps with a tenmoku glaze, and then wiping off the “top” surface so the glaze only stays in the texture impressions.

Racing towards some deadlines as I try to get a few last-minute pieces made for this weekend’s soda kiln… like these “hybrid” mugs which are a combo of wheelthrowing & handbuilding techniques.

After a fun day at MAURIE’S SUGAR SHOPPE last Wednesday, I came home with a bunch of “sweet” snacks for myself & to share… caramel apples, chocolate fudge, caramel bites, FrankenPops, and more! Although some of them didn’t even make it halfway home!

I mean, homemade candy from Maurie’s makes for a great late-night road trip snack… burp!!!
