Checking my calendar… and hoping I can squeeze in just one last batch of hybrid mugs… combo wheelthrown & handbuilt mugs. They’re kind of assembled… but still need to be trimmed & handled…dried “kinda” fast… and bisque-fired so I still have time to glaze & wad them for next weekend’s soda kiln. It’s hard to get this studio stuff done when my “fingers are crossed”!!!

With my soda kiln firing scheduled for next weekend, I’m in the final throws of studio production. Making enough to fill the kiln… and replenishing my inventory for the upcoming art fair season! Just another batch of wall pocket vases stamped, slipped & drying!

And sometimes the bird seed just becomes a BUFFET?!!!

Celebrating another TEXTURE TUESDAY with a large stamped platter… fired with a nice cone six green glaze that pools, puddles & works its magic on the repetitive stamped textures!

Got ’em done… all handles attached for another batch of mugs! You know they’re my favorite thing to make… kind of my default. If I don’t know what to make… I just make MORE MUGS!!!

Looks like another mug has found a comfy home… with a comfy cat!

From Darlene… “Ooo-eee! I love this mug! Thank you Lauren for your kind gift and Thank You Fire When Ready Pottery for making such a great mug! Love the shape, the color, the imprint… ❤❤”

From Lauren… “Cat not included with purchase 😂”

Stamping up another platter… one handmade stamp pressed in over & over again… one by one by one… So much more fun that a plain, smooth plate!

After a bit of stamping, these discs are getting so much closer… closer to becoming my latest batch of ikebana flower vases! Spring flowers will be here soon… and they’re going to need a home!

Huge thanks to Kristen for making brownies!!!
Too bad they didn’t last very long… but I’m still totally diggin’ the powdered sugar “shadows” on the plate after the brownies were gone!!! burp…

Now a quick “liner glaze” on the insides of the mugs. These still need a bit of cleaning up… as there are a few drips around the rims. Plus, I want a nice, clean even line of glaze right around the rim. None of this willy-nilly randomness for me!!!
