A quick baker’s dozen… plus one!
Can’t think of a clever phrase for fourteen of something. Can you?

Another batch of textured tiles drying in my studio. I love how the textures and different colored slips will all work together after soda-firing. I like to refer to them as a ClayQuilt… as though each square is a different piece of clay “fabric.”

What started as a class demo on how to throw clay a “bit taller” has now turned into a vase. A little stamping and some color slip detailing… soon enough ready for my next soda-firing!

Mug… Stamped… Soda-fired…
three of my favorite things for another Mugshot Monday.

Pretty little porcelain… stamped & soda-fired mugs for Mugshot Monday!

Don’t you love it when the sunlight streaming in through a frozen window hits that plate just perfectly?!

Still wrapping up some presents… and don’t you love when the box fits perfectly?!!!
Good thing I had pizza for dinner last night.
Oh, and by the way, if this gift turns out to be yours,
please act surprised when you open it!!!

When asked yesterday if I had a special piece of pottery for a hallway half-table… I’m glad the answer was YES! This stamped & soda-fired piece fits perfectly on the table and will be a great catch-all for those that enter the house! Thanks Chris for sharing!

Here are some of the beauties that were in Monday night’s cone six glaze kiln.
Just replenishing the shelves a bit for Saturday’s Second Holiday Home Show!
Plenty of plates & platters just in time for the holidays for sharing with your family & friends!

Okay, so this also shows that I might “need to” expand my cone six color palette.
Anyone have a good cone 6 glaze recipe to share?
Hopefully a nicely saturated color glaze that pools & breaks in all the right places!!! Thanks.

Oh yeah, and the one with the big crack from my bad trimming…
and the one that I accidentally dropped a kiln post on top of.
Yep, it was stuck to the bottom of a shelf as I lifted it out… and it popped off… CRACK!!!
I unloaded my final kiln for the holidays last night! Quite a few beautiful plates & platters just in time for this Saturday’s Second Holiday Home Show. Need a quick gift or two?… c’mon by this Saturday from 10:00am-6:00pm.
