Looks like the Spring flowers weren’t too happy about the snow either. We’ve got some droopy daffodils this morning. At least the clear blue skies & bright sunshine make it all a bit more bearable… and beautiful.

Welcome to Spring in Chicago!!!

I must admit I was a little surprised and taken aback this morning by the surprise snowstorm overnight. My mind has already shifted to Spring mode… and not snow! And not just snow, but a fun crusty layer of ice underneath. Guess I need to pull the ice scraper back out?!

Okay sure, there may still be a small chill in the air. But it is nice to see daffodils, iris and other spring greens poking through the ground. A wonderful sign of Spring fun to come!

This morning was cool & crisp. Not many clouds in the sunrise sky…
but it was encouraging to see some buds popping out on the trees.

WHOO-HOO… Spring is on the way!!!

Wet Fall colors on a dreary October day.

The first signs of Winter snow fencing have appeared along the lakefront bike trail. It was dark ride this morning… and even “darker” knowing that the fencing will go up soon and cold Winter weather won’t be too far behind! Ugh.

…and is dropping things all over my car!!!
I guess these would be the REAL Car Keys?!!!                      get it?…

Those little maple tree, flying helicopter seed pods are actually called KEYS.
On my car. Got it? Good. See?… and you just learned something new, right?!

It may still be chilly outside… but it’s looking like Spring inside my condo with another orchid blooming in my dining room window. I’m not sure what’s going on?!

I’ve NEVER had an orchid re-bloom before…
and now this year, two of them are re-blooming right now?! What’s up with that?…
and more importantly, how do I make sure I do it again?!
