Making more mugs, replenishing the inventory…
you know I LOVE making mugs, and I also like to kick-off my Holiday Home Show
with over a hundred mugs!!! Gotta make more…

A lot of people ask me how I fire my wheelthrown ornaments. Well, I also make little tripods for them to e propped up on in the soda kiln. I dip the tips in kiln wash so they don’t stick to the ornament too much after firing. This way, I can get some nice soda flashings on all sides of the ornament…. and not really see where the prop points were. And yes, I make new tripods for every firing!

Fresh from the kiln – and ready to head over to ART IN THE BARN “under cover of darkness” so they can “fly” off the shelves this weekend! Remember, as the newest member of “The Ghouls Collection”, they are a Limited Edition of forty… and when they’re gone, they’re gone forever!

The newest batch of Jack-O’-Lanterns ready to put a festive smile on your face… especially if you see a squirrel trying to eat THIS pumpkin! These terra cotta pumpkins will be a Halloween favorite for years to come! Come see them in person at ART IN THE BARN this weekend on Saturday & Sunday from 10:00am-5:00pm.

It took two electric kilns to get all of the Ghouls, Pumpkins & Jack-o’-Lanterns in to be fired.
Two kilns at the same time… so good to see these four letters TWICE!!!
A huge sigh of relief… can’t wait to crack them open to see the results!!!
And to pack everything up for ART IN THE BARN… just in the nick of time!!!

Okay… so it’s been a CRAZY BUSY WEEK!!!
I started making the new Ghouls & Pumpkins on Saturday…
of course, my bad as I procrastinated... but now they’re well on their way to the art fair this weekend. There have been a couple clues that I saw some of you caught along the way, but here’s the first glimpse of the newest limited-edition Ghoul headed your way!

Still working in the studio trying to make some quick Ghouls…
and nothing is EVER quick! Not sure if it’s making FORTY of them,
or the painfully awkward Emmy Awards broadcast that I’m also watching on TV.
What? No host?… and do we really need to hype FOX’s own “The Masked Singer” any more??? Nope!!! It’s driving me batty!
And do I even need to mention that crazy dance production number in the middle that made absolutely no sense!!!… who was that, what was it there, more of the Masked Singers… and a juggler with a cardboard Meryl Streep mask?! What was that?!!!

Okay, so I’ve thrown all FORTY base cylinders…
and a few pumpkins while I was at it. Now it’s time to start “Ghoul-ifying†them.
Just adding another Ghoul to the collection next weekend at ART IN THE BARN!!!

With the soda kiln filled & firing, I can finally focus on my next task at hand…
making my annual Halloween Ghouls for next weekend’s ART IN THE BARN.
Sure, I night be running a bit late, but I seem to thrive under a good deadline!
Here we go… gotta get my ghoul on!!!

With ART IN THE BARN next weekend, I tried my best to pack the kiln full of new pots that will be headed out to Barrington!!! Packed tight with a LOT of pots!!! It’s gonna be a long firing to “push” the soda through all of the pots. I’ll be soda-firing all day tomorrow… “plenty of time” before the art fair!
