A little fun with glaze… before & after! Loving how the green glaze pools & breaks really well on the hand-stamped texture & concentric circles!
A beautiful swirl of marbled clay! A small dessert plate by one of my students who has been playing with marbled colored clays! Nice swirl Katie!
Did a little quick stamping on this platter tonight. Kinda minimal… not the full blown stamped flange. This platter has a gentle, smooth curve all the way through. So I decided to do a single “simple” border pattern around the rim. Kinda hoping that when it gets glazed, maybe some of the glaze will run and create some cool rivulets coming down from each stamped points?!
Birthday cake never looked so good! Sure, I might be extra hungry after my long hike today… but these photos of Rosene’s chocolate birthday cake sure look scrumptious! Yummy chocolate frosting on a stamped & soda-fired plate! Although methinks she might need a larger platter… and just asking, but where are the birthday candles?!!!

Looks like Kristy & Matt had a special Valentine’s Day last weekend… celebrating with sweet treats and some sweet pottery! Thanks for sharing your special day with all of us!
Celebrating another TEXTURE TUESDAY with a large stamped platter. Started as a plain class demo piece last week… but one single stamp pressed in over, and over, and over again made quite an impact. I’m digging the “starburst” effect that radiates out from the center!
