I’ve kinda lost track of what day it is… but I “think†that it’s another TEXTURE TUESDAY! So here’s a stamped & soda-fired surface… actually just one side of the square vases I’m making these days. Kinda fun as I make sure that each side is a different textured pattern… get tired of one side, just turn the vase around!
Another texture for Texture Tuesday… totally tubular… bonus!!!
Another Texture Tuesday two-fer!!! One stamped & soda-fired…
another colorfully withering away
Another night.
Another theater.
Another selection of hideous theater carpet designs!!!
Another stamped & soda-fired vase waiting to find a new home
tomorrow at MUD & METAL… my Second Holiday Home Show!
Okay, so I have this odd “fascination” with ugly hotel & theater carpets!!!
They’re always crazy colors, patterns & designs that go with NOTHING ELSE!!!
So imagine my surprise when I found this one to be not so terrible… uh oh…
sure, nothing I would want in my house… but it caught me off guard,
and now I’m a bit concerned my taste-level might be in question?!
Loving the intricate woven texture & pattern of these nautical ropes!
Working on another set of porcelain mugs… stamping patterns & textures into them.
So here’s the before & after shots, as well as the stamps that did all of the magic!

So for now they’re all wrapped up under plastic… waiting at least another night until they stiffen up enough for me to start trimming the bottoms. Once trimmed, they will all start getting handles to become mugs!
Spent a lot of time stamping… and stamping… and stamping. Adding some texture to my latest batch of bowls… soon to have HOLES. As these will quickly be turning into berry bowls!
I just found two bowls that I made “awhile” back, and painted the interior with colored slip. I wrapped them up in plastic… and then apparently forgot about them. And it’s been “quite’ awhile… so they were harder & drier than I would like them to be. But with my one of my extra-sharp DiamondCore Tools they still carved like a dream!
