No sun this morning means no sunrise to share.
Plenty of frozen “puddles” along the lake though.

Always intrigued by these thin layers of ice “floating” above air
where the puddled water used to be. So fragile. So thin. So beautiful.

The mornings have been cloudy & rainy for days.
I try to avoid riding when the bike trail is wet or slippery.
It’s just not safe… or fun.

Finally… a dry morning today. Great to be out on my bike
even though there was still no hope of a sunrise.

Last Sunday was STUNNING.
Sunny, clear and full of Fall color everywhere you looked.
But with the sudden decline of the weather this week… cold, rain, gusty winds and even snow… I’m pretty sure this is the last of the Fall colors we’ll see this year. I hope you enjoy my Fall photo tour along the lakefront from last Sunday… and that it might keep you “warm” through the frozen months to come!

Pretty amazing turned the “other” way too… either way you look at it…

With a chill in the air & the sun rising, the colors were ablaze this morning. You gotta love the vibrant colors of Fall. The leaves are dropping fast… let’s hope they hang on a bit longer!

So chilly this morning that I wasn’t surprised when I saw the “first frost” on the ground along the lake. Sparkling ice crystals in the early morning light.

This morning may have been a Lunar Eclipse…
but I kind of think that tonight’s Full Moon was more exciting?!
Sure, that Lunar Eclipse was cool and all, but seemed to drag on just a bit…
Whereas this Full Moon was bright, dramatic & ever-changing
as the clouds floated by.

Today is the official last day of Summer. Fall beings this evening…

Okay, so I’m not a big fan of hoodies… but otherwise I’m in.
Of course I’d rather have Summer for just a little bit longer!
