Celebrating a little Mugshot Monday with a beautiful collection of Fall blooms… gathering before the first big frost hits us! Thanks for sharing your beautiful bouquet Kelly!

More than ten pieces wheelthrown before 10:00am… this time another batch of mugs in the works!!! These ones will be glazed… so I added some textured bands around the top for the glaze to puddle & pool in!!!

At the end of the workshop, AL and I did a little pottery trade!!! I came home with a great lidded bowl. Where the rim is hollow & perforated so it doesn’t get hot… and a lid that flips over to become a bowl. Again, with hollow & perforated knob so it too does not get hot!!! AL went home with two of my hybrid mugs… not so matchy-matchy… but clearly close enough that they just couldn’t be separated from each other!

So I did a little roadtrip up to Appleton, Wisconsin yesterday to drop-off some hybrid mugs with the fine folks at MKM Pottery Tools. It was great to finally meet Rick, as well as his support staff with Angie, Rachel, Seth & Christopher… as we’ve only known each other “virtually” online. It was great to finally hang-out, get to know each other for real & deliver some of my soda-fired hybrid mugs to them. It was kind of a cool “full-circle moment” as I use the MKM handrollers to create my hybrid mugs. And Appleton is apparently where all the magic comes from!!!

Over the weekend, Cindy got her first glimpse of my pottery in-person. As a recent social media follower… she’s only seen it virtually. Until Saturday… and now, her first mug will always be her favorite!

For another Mugshot Monday… not every mug needs coffee. Just sayin’…
And thanks Rosene for sharing!

The framed tiles look pretty great there too!!!
Sure, I coulda done this over the past week or so… but it’s always “so much more fun” to be prepping, pricing & packing pots on the day when I should out in Barrington setting up already!!! Well, at least this large batch of new hybrid mugs will be coming with me this weekend to ART IN THE BARN!!!

Pretty pleased with my wheelthrowing beginners tonight in class. It’s only Week Two of the new session… and they’ve already trimmed buttons, added handles & made their first mugs!

I spy with my little eye… one of my hybrid mugs out in the wild! This one appears to be having a “play-date” in Theresa’s studio up in Alaska! Looks like a great addition as she’s getting busy with her handbuilding slabs! Perfect for another Mugshot Monday!
And never fear… I still have a LOT of photos from Alaska to share… I just need to find the time!!!

Even the puppies are celebrating another Mugshot Monday!!! Perhaps not so sure to start… but then Pepper went ALL IN while hanging out in the car!!! Thanks Kim for sharing this precious puppy moment!
