Unbeknownst to many, one of my “other jobs” is the Creative Director for a special events company in Chicago. And the real “reason” I went to Frankfurt, Germany was to attend the ChristmasWorld Trade Show to scope out new, cool, over-the-top trends & ideas we can bring back to Chicago! Great fun with overwhelming amounts of glitter & twinkling lights.
“What?… Christmas again?… already?… didn’t we just get through with that???”

Thank You all for a wonderful 2018. It was a fantastic year… thanks for being part of it and taking the journey with me. There have been a LOT of pots & a LOT of sunrises… and a few other fun times along the way!!! Thanks for letting me prattle on here, and for putting up with my “silly addictions” every step of the way. Let’s all have an even better 2019!!!

So I received a holiday gift package in the mail that was set by my front door.
When I picked it up, I heard tell-tale sounds of things rattling, possibly broken,
but not quite like shards of pottery. I was intrigued… and concerned.
When I opened the box, I found it was a couple tins of treats from my cousins in Minnesota.
Apparently one of the tins opened while traveling & spilled all over the inside of the box.
No tape. No rubber bands. Just tins that were closed once upon a time.
Needless to say, I scooped the ChexMix back into the tin…
and promptly ate it ALL for lunch!!!
Thanks Michael & Anna for the tasty holiday treats… mixed-up or not!!!

A little holiday yumminess at the Jackson Family Christmas yesterday…
with a homemade mint chocolate cheesecake with a toasted marshmallow top!!!…
and a few mint M&M’s on a handmade platter to make it extra festive!!!

Here’s a quick peek of the Christmas gift I bought myself a couple weeks back.
I’ve been following Matt Wilson of Airtight Artwork on Instagram for awhile now.
Completely enamored by his ability to create precise bird sculptures out of everyday silverware!!!
Each bird has it’s own personality & attitude. And when his last “flock” was released on Etsy,
I just had to go for it… Merry Christmas to ME!!!
