It’s another national holiday today… one near & dear to may heart… NATIONAL OREO COOKIE DAY!!! And we’re celebrating OREO’s birthday with another special flavor with tow layers of filling, one white & one chocolate… as well as actual edible glitter on the cookies!!! It’s a party in my mouth!!!

Celebrating NATIONAL TILE DAY with a quick glimpse of my tile wall at home! Those who have made it to my Holiday Home Shows have had a chance to see it in person… but for the rest of you, here’s a few tiles to whet your appetite! Just shy of 3,000 handmade, stamped & soda-fired tiles on my wall.

Well, this doesn’t happen everyday…

Who knew that retro Valentine Cards had so much pottery in them?! Lots of teapots, bowls & cups to brighten your day with some really bad puns!!! You know I like a good “Dad Joke” as much as the next… but seriously?!

You know I LOVE a good “holiday”… even when it’s NATIONAL SQUIRREL APPRECIATION DAY!!! So why not celebrate with a fun squirrel mural just down the street from Lillstreet Art Center?! But why squirrels one may ask?…

“Squirrels may be considered rodents, but they play a critical role in the environment. It is an unofficial holiday started by North Carolina wildlife rehabilitator Christy McKeown in 2001, as a way to encourage people to put out seeds and nuts for these cute rodents.” – So there.
