The latest for us avid Oreo Addicts.
And a yummy treat for my pottery class tonight.
This what happens when two of my favorites COLLIDE!

Pretty tasty… although I do think a Double-Stuf version would be even tastier!!!…
and then if we could just squeeze some real marshmallow goo inside too?!…
now that would be PERFECTION!

My cousin Kim has apparently been playing in the kitchen again.
This time baking a pie… her very first Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie.
Made with her mom’s homegrown rhubarb and her own garden-fresh strawberries.
And making it look even more appetizing on one of my stamped celadon platters!!!

From Kim on Facebook…
First time making strawberry rhubarb pie. 🍓   Mom’s rhubarb; my strawberries !

I tend to dabble in the bottom rungs with my palate of a four-year old.
You may have heard of my strange fascinationf & addiction to Oreos & Twizzlers.
But tonight one of my students brought in a much more “cultural” snack in for class. She recently visited Japan and brought back a box of wagashi rice candies. All labeled in Japanese. No explanation of flavors… or anything else?!

Odd texture. Kinda like a chalky, gummi, chew. Kinda squishy. Powdered exterior.
Odd flavors. Not quite sweet. Not quite fruity.
And yet strangely yummy… and I had more than my fair share of them!!!

Nothing better than some incredible “post-art fair” pizza at Lou Malnati’s
with my best art fair assistants… so maybe you’ve met my parents?!

Tonight in class we had another sweet treat.
The newest flavor of Oreo’s. Oddly yummy, but needs to be DoubleStuffed to get enough cotton candy flavor. Of course that didn’t stop any of us…

After a wonderful weekend with friends & pottery in Minnesota, the drive home just got a little sweeter! After a quick stop in Osseo, a small little quiet town with a hidden gem.

I knew it was going to be a long drive home, and I couldn’t make up my mind.
The menu has like six million different kinds of pie…

I kind of panicked… but in a good way. So I got THREE pieces of pie!!!

Cherry.. a traditional, baked fruit pie.

Fresh Strawberrywith a dollop of Cool Whip!!!

And what turned out to be my favorite… Peanut Butter & Jelly.

Tonight was the last night of our Winter Session of my Wheelthrowing class.
To celebrate, we did a fun “white elephant” trading-stealing-exchanging game with plates. Everyone made a plate, and brought it in to trade & exchange with someone else in class. Along with that fun, we also had a potluck full of goodies. I considered making some kind of “green food” to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.  But then I thought everyone would much rather enjoy some yummy gooeyness. So I decided to make a new dessert using three of my all-time favorite foods!!!

Brownies…   Oreos…   and S’mores!!!

The chocolatey gooeyness started with a layer of graham crackers…
then a layer of brownie batter.

Then a layer of Oreo’s… and why not take it one step further with Double-Stuff Oreos?!!!

Then some min-marshmallows mixed into the remainder of the brownie batter.

Layered over the Oreo’s and baked… FYI : longer than the recipe called for…

When it came out of the oven, I added another layer of mini-marshmallows…

And then every potter’s dream… FUN WITH FLAMES!!!
A quick stint in the broiler to brown & toast the marshmallows.
Nothing says s’mores better than the smell of toasting marshmallows!!!

Gooey. Yummy. Toasted… I let them cool off and then cut them carefully & stick-ily!!!

Sure, there may be plenty of Oreo’s in the layers… but the few left in the package also worked well around the plate as an ever-yummy garnish!!!

If you want to make S’More Oreo Brownies  too…
here’s the recipe as I found it online… Very sweet, very yummy… Enjoy!

A day early… yet still a yummy treat at the “halfway point” of our bike ride.
Nothing like a little minty-chocolate treat to make the next 18 miles go faster!

Good thing I went to Step Class this morning!!!.. three risers AND wrist weights!!!

Two of my favorite Chocolate Peanut Butter… one Cherry and one Apple.
The fruit ones are healthy, right? And for the record, I only paid for TWO!!!
