Don’t eat these ones – your dentist won’t be happy!!! My teaching assistant Erin made these amazing ceramic OREO’s for everyone in class! While everyone else exchanged ovals, Erin had a fun little OREO for each of us! A perfect complement to our OREO ADDICTION!!! Thanks Erin!

Last night, in our final pottery class of the session, we celebrated with a great potluck. And a couple new flavors to add to our OREO addiction!!! I can’t quite read the packaging, but as best we could figure out… they’re Green Tea and Lemon. Neither one was all that great. A little too soft and cakey for my liking. I prefer the traditional OREO cookie crunch!

Surprisingly, when we opened the package, they all came out individually wrapped?!

Beautiful tomatoes, bountiful veggies & some stamped bowls. The perfect combination. Thanks Kim for sharing your summer harvest!

We’ve already FIRE’ed… we’ve already FORGE’ed… so now it was time to FEAST!!! The last day of camp is a big potluck lunch where we all bring in food to share. The kids pulled it together and we had a wonderful FEAST to celebrate the last day of this Summer Camp. Well done kids!!! Thanks for a great week!

The last day of camp is also the day to award the prize for Best Cookie in the “annual” Chocolate Chip Cookie Bake-Off. Congratulations to Sam (and his Mom) for baking the cookies that got the most votes on Wednesday’s challenge. He gets the trophy plate… and we got a lot of yummy cookies!!!

Some wonderfully tasty treats showed up today for the “annual” Chocolate Chip Cookie Bake-Off. Some traditional. Some with fun ingredients. Some with marshmallows… my favorite! Everyone got a plate of “anonymous” cookies to vote for their favorite numbered cookie. We had seven different entries… as well as cold milk to cleanse the palate in between cookies! Sam’s cookie #6 won the contest!!!

And some kids even took it to another level… trying to win us over with WARM COOKIES!!!
Who doesn’t like hot cookies with their cold glass of milk?!!!

One of my pottery students has been traveling in Moscow!!!
Katie was excited to see an old kickwheel there… and even more excited to see that they love OREO’s in Russia too!!! Unfortunately, they have the same flavors we have. I was hoping they might have some crazy Rooskey flavors that she could have smuggled back for us!!!

Ever so slightly “scary” retro mascot at Carl’s Ice Cream Factory in Bloomington today!!!
I can “overlook” the overly-happy mascot when my ice cream is THIS yummy!!
Chocolate soft serve. Chocolate brownies. Chocolate sauce. What’s not to like?
Good thing I ran six miles this morning!!!
