In the continuation of my pal Gerry’s birthday party in quarantine… looks like Rosene made some freshly baked brownies for him to celebrate… all decked out with candles and a special handmade platter! Sure there may not be frosting… but I know there are extra chocolate chips sprinkled in to make up for it!!!

With this whole self-isolation lock-down thing going on, we couldn’t celebrate Gerry’s birthday together today! Yet I felt somehow “obligated” to celebrate from here… so I “just had to” make some brownies & topped with my favorite ice cream… and a candle just to make it “official.”

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GERRY… I was there in spirit… and in brownies!!!

And it looks like Ruth is enjoying some fresh blueberries… in her “appropriately designed” berry bowl! What a weird coincidence… I never really thought that THAT stamp with some blue colored slip would look that great with fresh blueberries!!! Who knew?!

Looks like Judy has been doing a bit of cooking while quarantined at home. Trying to stay healthy with some colorful carrots & peppers… in a sweet little stamped bowl by little ol’ me!

So word on the street is that there are two NEW OREO FLAVORS!!! A little exotic with an Asian flair… Sakura Matcha and Peach Oolong!!! Okay, sure… so what if you can only get them in Hong Kong right now. Anyone have any “connections” that could hook me up???

Looks like my friend Tracy found the perfect mug to warm up her morning Stroopwafel. Not a hundred percent sure what that is… but it looks pretty yummy. Kinda flat for a waffle?… and missing the syrup!!! But I might need to try these out when we’re released from captivity!

Even though it wasn’t Wheaties… it still looks like it was a Breakfast Of Champions down in Peoria for my friends Gerry & Rosene! Enjoying their morning routine before heading out to work in their amazing garden! Trying to keep a little bit of “normal” in their everyday lives!

Imagine my surprise & quiet giggle when I found a box waiting for me outside my door tonight when I got home from the studio. After feeling so “isolated” lately, it was WONDERFUL to find a care package waiting at home for me! And what better surprise than a hunk of homemade chocolate fudge & some “turtles”… better known as Frogs down in Central Illinois.

What a great gift from my college friends Keith & Julie… from a cute little candy shop that Keith has recently opened in Eureka, Illinois to bring a sense of nostalgia, a sweet diversion & a great place for some special needs employees to work their magic! Unfortunately, shortly after they had their Grand Opening they also had to shut-down for the COVID-19 pandemic.
