Added the top layer of crust and a few decorative touches! Making it all very festive for my new “solo-holiday” tradition! Ready to go into the oven…

It’s all in… my Christmas pie is all coming together nicely!!!

Playing with pie crust… and upping my game this time.
I’m trying a new recipe for homemade pie crust!!!
A little more work, but hoping it’s all worthwhile!

I had to “borrow” two rolling pins from my studio yesterday… one smooth to roll it out, and a groovy textured one from Stodola Rolling Pins to make it a bit more fun!!!

Things are cooking in the kitchen…
starting to smell really festive in here!

Keeping up with my new “2020” tradition. It worked for my “solo” Thanksgiving, so I’m going for it again today!
I have two simple goals on my To-Do List for today…
1) Make a pie…. 2) Eat a pie.
Let the solo-holiday games begin!!!

Getting a little headstart…
mixing it together to get a jump on tomorrow’s pie making project!

It’s my first time making handmade pie crust from a new recipe!
It’s looking good so far… I’m pretty excited.
Going to refrigerate overnight before I start rolling it out.

So I ran out quick to the studio this afternoon, and on my way back I “just happened” to pass LICKITY SPLIT near my house! I noticed they were open this afternoon, but closed tomorrow!

Knowing that I will be “celebrating” the holidays at home alone… I splurged and bought myself a little treat for tomorrow! We’re drawing near the end of “Flavor of the Month” eggnog frozen custard… which is needed for my all-time favorite Eggnog Snap!!! Eggnog custard, caramel sauce & gingersnap cookies blended together!

Okay, panic set in… and I “may have” bought more than one…
allegedly... I mean, it’s going to be a long Winter’s night, right?!

Doing a little holiday baking today… just finished a batch of double-chocolate brownies to share at all of my festive holiday get-togethers!
Oh wait… there are none as we’re abiding by “the rules” and staying safe & socially-distanced. Guess I need to eat all of these by myself?… oh shucks!!!

Doing a little cooking today and it seems I’m getting a little low on my garlic?! Only a few cloves to go before this stamped bowl is empty. Looks like I might be doing some grocery shopping tomorrow, as my breath might be a little stinky tonight… but in the best way possible!

Apparently the latest McDonald’s “concoction” in China is slices of SPAM instead of a burger, topped with crushed OREO’s… and could that possibly be mayo on top of that???!!! So you know I’m a fan of the OREO… but this might have gone a bit too far!!!

But who are we kidding?… given the chance, I’m sure I’d give it a try!!!
