Looking forward to pear season… and until then, this fake pear will have to do. I mean, it does make this stamped bowl look even better. A little pop of color in a white bowl with dark tenmoku glaze inlaid in the stamps!

You know how much I love a good mural… especially when it’s inside a fun restaurant with yummy food! It was my first time having “real” ramen at Ika San in Omaha! So the murals inside were beautiful… and the bowl of ramen was too!

Two of my favorite words when in Omaha… Ted & Wally’s!

Artisanal small-batch ice cream flavors in a vintage shop with retro ice cream churns cranking out the yumminess!

It’s always a great surprise to find a little plate of food waiting for you in your hotel room. Special thanks to the folks at The Magnolia Hotel in Omaha for their wonderful service & beautiful hotel… and surprise snacks! Always a great place to stay when visiting Omaha!

Apparently mulberries come in WHITE also?!
Not what we’re used to here in Chicago… but yummy I’m sure!
Thanks for sharing them in your stamped & soda-fired berry bowl @wirehanded … all the way out in Brooklyn, New York.

Since I don’t drink coffee or tea, I need to find other uses for my mugs! Like celebrating another Mugshot Monday at the same time as today’s national holiday… it’s NATIONAL CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM DAY!!!

And if I’m going to go for it… I’m going all the way with my favorite “Phish Food†from Ben & Jerry’s with caramel sauce, marshmallow goo & chocolate fish swirled inside!!! Gotta celebrate the holiday in style… burp!

Sure, my pie crust may not be so decorative this time…
but I was hoping that the handmade stamped pie pan might compensate for that?! And really… it was more about making a yummy rhubarb pie… and then EATING a yummy rhubarb pie!!!

Chopping up some rhubarb… entranced by the range of colors & textures all from one plant. I love homegrown rhubarb… and I also LOVE a colorful & natural Texture Tuesday!

Two days later… and this is all that’s left of Rosene’s chocolate carrot cake! One piece, a ring of frosting and a pretty stamped platter. Looks like it was a big hit. And more importantly, looks like that last piece would fit in small box to ship off to ME!!! Just sayin’…
