Just got home late from teaching my THROWDOWN pottery class… but didn’t want to miss out on celebrating another national holiday!!! You know how I LOVE a good holiday… and a good piece of chocolate cake… or two?!!!

Looks like a yummy way to start a snowy Sunday morning down in Central Illinois. Thanks for sharing your breakfast Gerry & Rosene!

It might be freezing cold outside today, but it looks like Keith & Julie are staying toasty warm inside with a hearty meal of ham, beans & corn bread… in a large stamped & soda-fired bowl!

Okay, so since the pandemic changed the world… it also changed Lillstreet in many ways. Including a small little rule of not having food in the classrooms anymore. But they can’t really expect me to fully go cold turkey, right?! Crazy talk!!!

So we may have “smuggled in” a few contraband OREOs along the way with the code word being “yellow towel.” We gotta keep them hidden… cautiously sharing… and always cleaning up & hiding the evidence at the end of the night!

Looks like my friend Rosene has been in the kitchen again…
using her stamped & glazed pie plate… this time for MEATLOAF!!!

And I quote…“Yep, meatloaf… with some new light orange squash… yummy… I really don’t like to cook!!!! But I love playing with my pottery!”
Looks like Kristy has been getting creative in her kitchen again… baking up a yummy loaf of Cheddar & Jalapeno Bread. Looks so good… and what could be better? Homemade bread on a handmade plate!

Looks like a perfectly warm & cozy dinner on a cold winter’s night… a little handmade Zuppa Toscano by my friend Julie!

Looks like Gerry is starting his day off with a healthy bowl of oatmeal with some cranberry relish on top! I’m sure it tastes better from a handmade ceramic bowl… although I still prefer my oatmeal as a COOKIE!!!! Thanks for sharing your breakfast & your pottery collection with us Gerry!

Apparently the bananas went a couple more days… by then successfully made a nice banana “bread-cake-pie?” baked in one of my handmade pie plates! Thanks for the photos Rosene.. looks YUMMY!!!
