Another “yellow towel situation” in class tonight. But the last time they offered s’mores-flavored OREOs they called them “S’more OREO’s.” Which I thought was odd… like they had missed the mark?! This time they fixed the name… and now it makes a LOT more sense!

“S’mOREOs”… I mean… I thought it was obvious!!!

Looks like Rosene & Gerry are enjoying a fine morning breakfast… on some fine dinnerware! Homemade food always tastes better on handmade pottery!

Always fun to see where your pottery goes… I suggested ice cream
but Johnna apparently had other ideas!

From Johnna… “Instead of eating salad out of my new favorite bowl tonight, I made the best looking guacamole! I’ve looked at your work for a few years at the Schaumburg art fair and so glad I finally pulled the trigger today. Thank you!”

Plus, you’ve gotta love when your friend & pottery “follower” stops by to say “Hi”… and brings along a sweet treat or two!!! You’re the BEST Melissa!!! Thanks again… burp!

As we near the end of our pottery class session, we’re also nearing the “Big Reveal” of THE GREAT AMERICAN BAKING SHOW. Last night we celebrated the latest batch of “losers” who didn’t quite make it to the finals! Yummy treats based-on & inspired-by the four bakers… baklava for Karis, churros for Sean, key lime ice cream parfait cups for Nerali & purple ube cupcakes for Susan! Quite the night for my students. Exciting to see that our very own Martin has made it into the Top Three & will be baking & competing in the FINALS!!! Go Martin!!!

Looks like Julie has been busy in the kitchen again… baking up some beautiful cream puffs! It’s a shame that Keith ate too many of them… and only THREE made it to their blue sgraffito platter!!!

Forgot to mention the yummy breakfast we had at GOOD DAY CAFE before going up to the St. Croix Valley Pottery Tour last Friday. We knew we need some good sustenance before a long day of pottery shopping! I mean.. I could have gone with some sort of healthy protein omelette or something… but they had these oven-baked apple souffle pancakes on the menu! How was I supposed to pass that up???

I didn’t.

Some microgreens in a micro-bowl…. thanks to Kristy’s lunch!

In addition to my piñata cupcakes… our “real” baker Martin also celebrated CAKE WEEK with yummy slices of his coconut & mango cake! Cute in its individual box… but better presentation points when I took it home! Homemade food always tastes better on handmade pottery!

Last night in class we once again “celebrated” the next baker booted out of “The Great American Baking Show.” Our own baker Martin survived another episode… but sadly Jon was sent home after making this cute piñata cake. And since he was “my player” in the game… it was my turn to bring in treats based on Jon’s baking endeavors!!!
