In my Intermediate Wheelthrowing class we had a CRAZY NIGHT OF OREO’s!!! It started with a collection of Chinese OREO’s…. brought in by Catherine! As with most non-American OREOs, they were a bit drier, chalkier(?) & not quite as sweet. So we had some kind of plain yogurt OREOs, mango cream OREOs, cherry blossom OREOs & peach with oolong tea OREO’s.

Let’s not get crazy… we also had American Mint OREO’s to wash them all down!!!

Yesterday afternoon was a party to celebrate my niece Taylor before she heads-off to the University of Missouri for a degree in Special Education!!! It’s hard to believe that she’s all grown-up & ready for college… in my head she’s still about six or seven?! Many of you have watched her grow-up at some of my art fairs. But in case you missed that… scroll through the photos to see her over the years. The cutest!!!

Her Dad printed all of these photos as large posters that lined the driveway as people entered the party! One for each year… so adorable!!!

Not just blueberries, but some wonderful cherry tomatoes from the Farmer’s Market too. Perfect as part of my Summer Camp lunches! Love the assorted colors & sizes… looking great in a stamped & glazed bowl… even if I do say so myself?!

On my way home tonight, I stopped off at my local Farmer’s Market. Grabbed some fresh-picked blueberries & more. Beautiful in the late afternoon sun… but even prettier in a handmade pottery bowl!

This is how we do it… MORE IS MORE!
Especially true when it comes to National Hot Fudge Sundae Day!!!

You know I love a good national holiday… and would feel remiss if I didn’t celebrate appropriately! Especially when today is NATIONAL ICE CREAM DAY!!!

Just a quick reminder… tomorrow night at Lillstreet Art Center is EMPTY BOWLS… our first one since the pandemic!!! A wonderful event to help a great “food pantry” cause. Basically, the potters at Lillstreet have been donating a bunch of handmade bowls… literally hundreds!!!… and they will all be available tomorrow night for a small donation to “Common Pantry.” A small donation and you get a great bowl… and to sweeten the deal?… the bowls will be filled with artisanal ice cream from JENI’S SPLENDID ICE CREAMS!!!

So here’s a quick peek at just a few of the bowls I’ve donated to the party… stamped, spiraled, glazed… even including everyone’s favorite “bubble glazed” bowl!!! Swing by for some bowls & ice cream!!!

Looks like it might be MULBERRY MONDAY?! Often overlooked… but these mulberries are always tasty! That is if you can pick them off the trees before the birds get after them… or even worse, they fall off and stain the sidewalks & car hoods with their purple juices!

Looks like a “Sunday-Sundae-Funday” for Rosene!!!
