A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the Glenview Summer Art Fair this weekend. We had perfect weather both days… with some rain overnight which didn’t affect us at all… whew! So much fun seeing so many people enjoying the weekend & appreciating local artisans. A lot of pots found their new forever homes!

My art fair booth flowers survived the weekend as well… so now they get to hang out a few extra days in a nice stamped & soda-fired vase on my back porch! I love a good oval vase as they spread the flowers out a bit more side-to-side… instead of just slamming them into a circular vase opening.

You gotta love when your art fair friend brings your fresh flowers from her garden for your booth display! I mean, I’m sure she knew I would have plenty of vases to put them in! Thanks Rhonda… you’re the best… they’re beautiful!!!!

Perfect flowers. Perfect timing.

Such a pleasant surprise to see that my Wild Columbine is blooming again. I don’t think that I knew that these could even re-bloom… but apparently they do?! Just giving me one more chance to collect some seeds to spread around & save some for next year too.

I was told that these were quite “invasive” and they would spread like crazy… and they haven’t… even though I REALLY want them to!!! So I’m going to try both spreading seeds this Fall… and then sowing some more next Spring too with fingers crossed that one or the other grow all over the place!!!

I was awe-struck by how saturated the reds were on these day lilies. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a vibrant & saturated RED before! Crazy beautiful…

Looks like the purple shamrocks on my back porch are pretty happy again this summer!

The trumpet vine flowers are finally blooming…
and climbing the bricked corner of Lillstreet Art Center!

Rode past a large patch of hollyhocks today… which for some reason always remind me of my Grandma Kitty?! Beautiful flowers clustered on tall stalks… and a great pollinator as the bees were flitting from flower to flower as I watched.

Another beautiful asiatic lily that just started blooming in my garden… with amazingly saturated red colors!

My globe thistle plant is currently in full bloom… loving how the tiny purple petals create a perfect sphere that attract bees & butterflies!
