perfect for Mugshot Monday!

Celebrating a little Mugshot Monday today with some “found flowers.” I’m not above “saving” some special event flowers from the trash to let them live a little longer in my studio! And I have plenty of mugs that will work as a fun vase for a few days!

Just some pretty Spring azalea flowers to brighten your morning.

As if the normal pink & white magnolia trees weren’t beautiful enough… I also found a yellow magnolia on my way home this morning! Such a beautiful shade of pale yellow… we need more of these trees around the neighborhood!!!

Now that it feels like Spring has finally made it in full force to Chicago, we’re enjoying some beautiful magnolia blossoms… although they’re short-lived, so get outside & enjoy them while you can!

Looks like Spring has finally arrived in Chicago… for real this time… with blue skies & crisp white trees flowering all around. Love it.

Just a little bit of cheerful color on an otherwise dreary gray & rainy day.

Plants everywhere are loving their ceramic homes! So happy to be living their best lives in a handmade, stamped & soda-fired flower pots. And you know I want to make more happy plants… so I’m making more flower pots! Thanks Rick for sharing your beautifully blooming African violets!

And while it may “officially” be Spring outside… looks like my Thanksgiving cactus is a little confused?! One last “volunteer” blooming this morning??? After a full blooming last Thanksgiving… so fun to see one more four months later!!!

We finally made it! Today is the first full day of Spring. And while it’s still a bit chilly in Chicago… it looks like my Peoria pals have brought a little Spring inside! In what might be one of my “vintage” vases with a little bit of stamping along the edge… before I started soda-firing!
