Digging through my inventory of handmade & soda-fired beads… thinking their might be a “collaboration” or two in here??? ART IN THE GARDEN is coming quick… gotta get my act together so my friends have time to get their parts done too!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!! August 29th & 30th, 2020.
Just four weeks away we’re hosting another ART IN THE GARDEN!!!
The garden is twice as large this year so there’s plenty of room for social-distancing & safe shopping! It’s one of only two outdoor art fairs that I’m able to do this year… so please keep it safe, wash your hands and you MUST wear a mask!!!

It’s one of the most fun art fairs as several of us like to do one-of-a-kind collaboration projects to “reveal” at the show. You can see many of us making things in our studios to get ready… and maybe get a glimpse of a collaboration or two if you look close. Check out the list of my talented friends in the Comments and follow them all on social media.

Click here to follow ART IN THE GARDEN on Facebook… as more details, picture s& information will start to appear over the next few weeks!
It’s always fun to see your pottery being used… like fresh tomatoes washed & draining in a berry bowl. Thanks to City Olive for using my work in their store! If you’re near the Andersonville neighborhood, be sure to check out City Olive on Clark for unique & artisanal gourmet olive oils & foods. They are open during these tough times with curbside pick-up or UPS delivery! So if you’re stuck at home cooking… and you want to spice it up a notch, here you go!!!

Here’s another wonderful gift from one of My Talented Friends…
Sarah Chapman and I had discussed doing a collaboration project “awhile back” where we would work together to make lidded jars. Well, she’s had “plenty of time” to work up a plan… but she totally surprised me when this beauty showed up as part of my Christmas Gift!!! I had totally forgotten about them… but now I LOVE IT!!!

And I LOVE having Talented Friends!!!

Looks like Cory McCrory has yet another trick up her sleeve… as if she weren’t busy enough… she’s “upping” the cute factor of our collaboration project and pushing it over the top!!! Can’t wait to see where this takes us…

With ART IN THE GARDEN in just a few days… looks like Cory is racing to the Finish Line… and making sure that all of her collaboration pieces make it into that one last kiln that comes out “just in time” for the art fair this weekend!!! I see color… and texture… and whimsy… three of my favorite things!!! Can’t wait to see the finished pieces when mine get added into the mix this Saturday & Sunday in Glenview, Illinois!!!

Textured porcelain buttons up-close & personal…
can’t wait to see what Jill does with them and her beautiful Hooey Batiks!!!
Some glazed, some soda-fired, lots of colors & textures!
ART IN THE GARDEN coming soon!!!

Just a pile of porcelain buttons headed down to Jill Miller of Hooey Batiks
so she can finish up her part of our collaboration for ART IN THE GARDEN.
Come to our grassroots art fair next weekend in Glenview, Illinois…
Saturday, September 7th & Sunday, September 8th!!!

One step closer to my collaboration with Jill Miller of Hooey Batiks
for ART IN THE GARDEN! Always fun to open the kiln to see that glaze magic
that happened around cone six!!!

Looks like Cory McCrory has been adding some colored underglaze accents to her part of our collaboration project for ART IN THE GARDEN. We’re just over a week away… as our little grassroots art fair is on September 7th & 8th in Glenview, Illinois. It’s all coming together…
