Another cold & cloudy morning bike ride with beautiful reflections rippling on the Lake. The sun tried, and tried, but the clouds won out until later in the morning. No real sunrise again! Still better than rain… or even worse, snow?!
Some dramatic clouds blowing over Navy Pier.. which looks a bit strange without the iconic Ferris Wheel?! Looking forward to the new one this Summer.
Down on Chicago’s Navy Pier, there are these beautiful remembrance medallion markers embedded in the concrete at the far end of the Pier. A symbolic row of flags, a large maritime anchor and a majestic view of Lake Michigan. A fitting tribute to branches of the US Military. And a fitting ‘Thank You’ for those who have served.
So the new sculpture is done. Finally installed.
It’s kind of fun to a something “new” to play with on my morning bike ride photo adventures. Although I’m still thinking Don Quixote. Still thinking Jesus. Still not a fan… but that’s just me.
The sky was covered with clouds.
And I loved the way the City glowed pink with the lights reflecting.
For the longest time I thought we would never even get a sunrise. But then, lo and behold, the clouds opened up just a little bit at just the right time. I appreciated how the sunbeams “projected” up onto the other clouds as the sun came shining through.
