With all of the rain we’ve had this Spring, even Lake Michigan is FLOODED!!! The orange railings are “supposed” to be at the water’s edge… with a water level being about a foot lower than the cement edge. Needless to say, the water is high enough to cover the jogging path… and almost makes it up to the bike lanes!!!
I’ve always said that “the best part of biking, is stopping.”
Especially when the end of the ride is across the street from Superdawg…
which was extra tasty after our wonderful day of riding!!!
With a surprising start to a surprisingly nice day, it was good to see that sliver of sunrise color coming through before the sun went away behind the clouds. The forecast wasn’t so good for this weekend… but it looks like we’re off to a good start… with another BEAUTIFUL sunrise!!!
After teaching Summer Camp yesterday, I got to sneak in a quick 36-mile bike ride before coming back to teach my night class. You know I “had to” take advantage of the nice weather… as the next few days don’t look so good. Very cool to see that one big cloud hanging low & hovering amidst the Chicago Skyline.
Yesterday morning was gray & dreary…
with a lot of misty fog hanging low along the lake. It wasn’t raining…
but I was SOAKED by the time I got home from my morning bike ride!
And yes, somewhere back there in the fog “should be” the Chicago Skyline!!!
Along with some overflowing lake edges… the water level should be about a foot below the cement edge.
So I was just driving home from the studio, when I received a text message from PNC Bank saying that my account was locked and I needed to log-in to verify & secure my account. And then just three minutes later, I drive to where my local TCF Bank is at the Jewel-Osco only to find it is surrounded by police cars… apparently the bank has been robbed or something? Crazy odd coincidence??? Now I’m pretty sure I don’t even have a PNC account. But I called the phone number just to double-check and she said it was a completely fraudulent text that was sent to me. And that it just must be some crazy, wacky coincidence that TCF is surrounded by cop cars at the same time?! We serve & protect. Yes please, protect my MONEY!
Picture perfect skies… with plenty of hot pastrami piled high on the side!
The circus is back in town!!! And last night we had a wonderful night under Le Grand Chapiteau for an exciting performance of Cirque du Soleil’s new show “VOLTA”!!! We had a great picnic along the lakefront before the show, and were surprised to find the whole place engulfed in fog after the show. Another wonderful night with my favorite Cirque du Soleil… under their new gray & white tent!!!
Everyone was taking their photos… including my friend Pam!
And the fog rolled in… and created a glowing haze over Le Grand Chapiteau!
Loving the beautiful mosaics downtown at the Gallery 37 Gallery… made by the talented kids from After School Matters. Quite impressive… beautiful colors, striking patterns & great craftsmanship. Keep up the good work kids!!!
Another cloudy morning with a bit of a wind coming in from the west.
Watching flags fly as the sunrise tries its best to make it through the clouds
at the east end of Navy Pier.
