I’m still talking and I hope you’re still reading?!
Eight hundred blog posts… and still going strong!

You know how I like beautiful landscape photography.
And pride myself on a few of my own sunrise biking photos.
But here’s another friend of mine who takes great pictures!
Although I’m still wondering where the color went?

Personally I prefer my nature shots to be vivid color as Mother Nature intended.
But my friend Julie Wight sees the world differently through her camera lens
and creates these stunning, and sometimes haunting, black & white photographs.
I’m entranced by the composition, the contrast, the geometry… basically all of it.

The majority of the work I have seen of Julie’s has been this kind of austere nature shot.
But recently, Julie kicked off her own photography blog to showcase more of her photography.
And this time, it’s not all landscapes. I can’t wait to see where her blogging journeys take her.
Be sure to check out her new blog adventures – http://juliewight.blogspot.com/

Apparently, this little blog of mine has been “honored” by Pottery Making Info.
And was chosen as one of the Top Ten Clay Blogs of 2010.

Pottery Making Info gathers information & posts from various blogs, and re-posts them
to a wider audience. Which is great, because my work & blog get seen by more people.
So it’s kind of a win-win for me! Good exposure… and a Top Ten shout-out!!!

So I got this great e-mail this morning from one of my blog followers.
It’s always an incredible feeling to know that someone out there is reading along…
and enjoying my ramblings. Sometimes you wonder if anyone is out there?!
Thanks Pam… warm fuzzies all around!

Subject:  HAPPY MONDAY GARY

Hi Gary-
I thought I might let you in on a secret of your own doing. When I’m struggling
with what’s going on in my life, in the studio, or with the kids, I read your blog.
Especially “It’s all about me”. It reminds me to keep it simple and have fun.
If it isn’t joyful, why do it?
Thanks for that.
Pam

The following is a test. For the next sixty seconds we will be conducting a test of the
Emergency Blog Photo Update Systemalso known as “for some strange reason
my blog stopped uploading photos for no apparent reason”?!
But now we’re back.
Or at least enough for a “test” image upload to see if it works! Ready… set… upload!

And thanks again to Emily & Ian for helping me get my WordPress back on track!
It’s great to have tech-savvy friends who can help bail me out of my tech dilemmas.
And now I’ve got a LOT of catching up to do!

Okay, something’s going on here…
and I’m having some technical difficulties here on my blog!
For some strange reason, I can’t upload photos any more?!

Every time I try, I get an error message. I’m using WordPress for my blog
and I think it has something to do with Changing File Permissions… or something?!
Error message: “Unable to create directory. Is the parent directory writable by the server?”
What the heck does THAT mean?!

Hopefully I’ll be able to resolve this quickly… and then I’ll come back and post
all of the fun things that have been happening over the past few days!
Studio projects, stunning sunrises, inspirations, anecdotes and more!

There we have it… today we passed four hundred comments on my blog!
So I guess someone out there IS actually reading it?! I often question if anyone
out there could even be remotely interested in my ongoing dribble… but I guess
this proves it?! Someone is reading it… and sharing their comments!

So keep up the good work and let me know what you think, share an idea,
ask a question or send me some interesting comments to share with the
“two other people” who might be reading my blog!
