A beautiful start to a sunny Sunday morning. Chilly with a bit of a breeze, with a nice splash of minimal clouds in the right place at the right time. And now it’s time to start getting ready for Day Two of MUD & METAL : My Second Holiday Home Show!
It was a surprisingly warm morning today… with plenty of cloud-cover over the lake. We did get a stunning moment of sunrise splashing across the sky… but just for a couple minutes before heading behind the clouds. Welcome back to gray… hey, at least it was still warm outside!
Another chilly morning with a layer of low-flying clouds on the horizon. A slow start to a beautiful morning.
Thankful for yesterday’s sunrise… but today’s?… not so much. I was hoping that these clouds might turn into something cool as the sun came up… but the sun NEVER came up! Instead, it was just gray, cloudy & SO WINDY!!! But I kept thinking…. with every mile I pedal, I can eat more PUMPKIN PIE!!!
After a string of uneventful, not-a-cloud-in-the-sky freezing cold mornings, it was great to finally get a beautiful sky show worthy of tackling the chilly winds! Incredible sunrise colors this morning across the horizon while the wind was in my face the whole way. But once I turned around, it was an amazing ride with the strong tailwind pushing me all the way home!!!
Surprisingly warm this morning… so I had to ride! Sure, the roads were wet from overnight rain, and there was really no chance for an actual sunrise… but it still felt great getting back out on my bike for “sunrise” bike ride… no matter how gray & cloudy!
A little dull & dreary along the lakefront this morning… nice & warm, but a bit on the gray side. Sure, there was a glimmer of hope over Navy Pier… but it quickly dissipated and moved back to cloudy grayness. At least I got a moment or two of color… and another fun bike ride to start my day!!!
With the sunrise coming an hour earlier after “Falling Back” with the time change… we had a simple sunrise with a single stripe of clouds running across the horizon. I always enjoy getting an “extra” hour in my mornings… more time for my sunrises!
No TRICKS, just TREATS this morning along the lakefront!
Finally, a dry morning after a long week of rain. So nice to get back out on my bike to enjoy the sunrise, and what a sunrise it was!!! A beautiful, crisp Halloween morning!
