A beautifully cloudy start to the day… a bit on the chilly side, but I’d rather that than the heatwave we had last week. Colorful clouds & shimmering reflections to begin the day. Not a bad start…

A beautifully cloudy start to the day… a bit on the chilly side, but I’d rather that than the heatwave we had last week. Colorful clouds & shimmering reflections to begin the day. Not a bad start…
The morning sky started out clear, not a cloud in the sky. But then as the sun began to rise, the clouds moved in at just the right time. Such a magical moment when the sky lights up & the clouds turn a vibrant pink… with amazing harbor reflections… and then evolve into glowing white clouds as the sun finally begins to peer over the horizon. A beautiful start to another beautiful day!
I thought I would get up & get out on the bike trail before the heatwave hit… but I was wrong. Kind of. It was already “warm” when I got up but it felt great while riding. Except that there were these weird patches of cold foggy areas, followed by warm steamy areas… it kinda felt like I was having hot flashes?! Pretty cool though… and I always like a clouded sunrise where you can see the rain falling down from the clouds well out over the lake.
After a fun “weekend of pottery” out in “the country”… it felt great to get back to the City & back on my bike for another kick-off to another week. So nice to have a beautiful sunrise over the lake to start my day again!
A dark & cloudy start to the day… not much of a sunrise as the clouds move out over the lake… luckily no rain, just clouds. Kinda glad this darkness is moving through early this morning. Hoping that it clears up a bit more for Day Two at the HINSDALE FINE ARTS FESTIVAL. C’mon by… 10:00am-5:00pm in Booth #69.
Early morning sunrise along the lake before heading back out for Day Two of the SCHAUMBURG PRAIRIE ARTS FESTIVAL. What a great way to start the day off right… and noticing that the lifeguard chairs are back & boats are returning to the harbors. Feels like Summer is finally here!!!
Starting off the week with another beautiful sunrise. Not a lot of clouds this morning, just a brisk breeze & plenty of open road… err, lakefront bike trails!!!
So excited to have warm overnight temperatures last night, so this morning’s ride was surprisingly warm & comfortable too. Sure, the clouds weren’t overly dramatic this morning… but it felt great to be back on my bike without so many warm layers, gloves or even rain gear!!!
Crisp & clear… a nice change from the balmy heatwave we had over the weekend. Not a lot of clouds this morning, but we did get a nice sunrise “reveal.”
Dark & gloomy with a lot of clouds… and a very small sliver of possibility. I kept hoping that the sun would peek through… but alas, it was just clouds. Plenty of gray clouds & serene reflections.
