Another beautiful start to the day… not a lot of clouds on the horizon. But those that made it in time were quite pretty as they took on the morning’s colors. A bit cooler than yesterday… but you could already feel it getting warmer… again!

Another beautiful start to the day… not a lot of clouds on the horizon. But those that made it in time were quite pretty as they took on the morning’s colors. A bit cooler than yesterday… but you could already feel it getting warmer… again!
Not many clouds in the sky… but you can already tell it’s going to be a HOT day when you wake up this early… and it’s already warm & steamy. I was a sweaty mess by the end of my ride… and it’s just gonna get hotter all day!
Quiet morning with a large cloud moving through… creating some early morning drama along the lakefront before the reflections began. Still a perfect way to start the day!
Another beautiful sunrise… this time with some fun clouds to splash some color on & a stiff headwind for the first half of my ride. The clouds were cool as the sun popped up, and then hid behind, and then came out again! Kind of a double whammy sunrise!!!
What started as a very still & quiet morning, with some early morning fog, turned into a beautiful day with stunning reflections off the lake… with possibly the most perfect place to park my bike!
Yesterday I went down to Chenoa to celebrate Fourth of July with my best friends from college. Because the festivities were later in the day, I brought my bike with to go for a ride along Old Route 66… so Americana nostalgic of me, huh?!
A fun morning ride… hotter & windier than I expected out there in the midwest farm fields! Basically my route was a big triangle from Chenoa to Bloomington-Normal to Colfax and back to Chenoa… just in time for the Chenoa Fourth of July Parade… and before the storms blew through and promptly cancelled the Chenoa fireworks!!! So luckily, I got a good bike ride in well before the storms!!!
Clear skies. Nothing but clear skies. Okay, and a bit of a side-wind to make my morning ride a bit tougher than expected. Always enjoyable… even though the sunrise wasn’t as “stunning” as I would like it to be!
Another early start for another beautiful sunrise bike ride. After yesterday’s gloomy clouds, it was nice to see the sun coming back up this morning… creating such a beautiful & colorful sky show!
Another glorious morning. Amazing sunrise reflections shimmering along the lakefront. Another day with beautiful weather… now THIS is Summer!!! Still the best way to start the day…
Possibly the PERFECT morning! The weather today was simply perfection. It started out beautifully with a lot less humidity & some amazing colorful clouds. And that perfection continued all day long… which was the perfect reason to get back out on my bike AGAIN this afternoon after Summer Camp!
