While you’re at ART IN THE BARN today, be sure to stop by to see my friend Sandy’s beautiful botanicals captured with a wonderful patina! Fantastic pieces further down in the Lower Barn with “Of Nature Jewelry.â€
One of the funniest collaborations at ART IN THE GARDEN last weekend were the funky chickens made by Cory McCrory & Jill Miller. As artists we love the chance to “play” with another artist to see what happens! I’m sure these two had a great time creating these fantastic creatures… with Jill dyeing the fabric & Cory making the ceramic body parts!!!
Just in case you somehow “missed” hearing about this…
ART IN THE GARDEN is this weekend! A wonderful grassroots art fair pulled together by a group of talented friends! This year we have twelve artists showing off their work, sharing their skills and putting out some fun collaboration projects along the way! It’s one of the most special art fairs of the entire summer! All of the fun kicks off in about an hour… hope you can join us!
Saturday 9/11 & Sunday 9/12 from 10:00am-5:00pm

Good thing Cory has been making tumblers to go with my water carafes! A fun & functional collaboration to keep you happy & hydrated. Come to ART IN THE GARDEN this weekend and you can choose one of my stamped & soda-fired water carafes… and then choose a pair of Cory’s tumblers to go with it. Limited quantities… you might want to come early for the best selection.

And she’s been sanding, smoothing & polishing her bottoms too!
Okay, just one final “teaser” about my part of the collaboration I’m doing with Cory McCrory. Well, all of my water carafes have now been soda-fired… and they’re looking pretty darn sweet... even if I do say so myself. I’m very pleased with the results… and eager to show them off this weekend at ART IN THE GARDEN in Glenview!
So now I have a water carafe…
if only I had “something or two” to pour the water into?!
If only… oh, wait…
Think your plants need a little pick-me-up?… well Retta Hentschel makes these beautiful little stained glass pot-stickers… available this weekend at ART IN THE GARDEN!!!
Well, here they are… your first glimpse of the final collaboration combinations! Mary Foster made the mini gouache paintings that fit perfectly in my stamped & glazed picture frames. A fun collaboration assembled & right now, drying overnight… and getting ready for their “Big Debut” this weekend at ART IN THE GARDEN. There are only ten of these mini-masterpieces… so you may want to come early?! No calling dibs!!!

Beautifully blown baubles & beads! Glass artist Donna Sauers has been making a lot of beautiful pieces in her torch… each one then turned into a one-of-a-kind wearable piece of art. Just one of My Talented Friends joining us this weekend at ART IN THE GARDEN.
Looks like stained glass artist Retta Hentschel has been making a lot of work for this weekend’s ART IN THE GARDEN. Bright & colorful, with a lot of vintage glass & unique pieces all worked together in these incredible pieces! Hope you can stop by this weekend.

I’ve always loved the whimsical nature of Cory McCrory’s work… but these have me totally intrigued! I know they’re part of another collaboration project for ART IN THE GARDEN this weekend. But it’s not with me… and I can’t wait to see what’s going on?!
A big part of the FUN at this art fair is seeing the crazy & cool collaborations that happen between the artists!!!
