There’s the Barn!!! And I’ll be on the Lower Level in Booths E4 & E6.
It’s a fun show where the artists are scattered around the original farms of Quaker Oats…
now the grounds of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital on Route 22 in Barrington.
Some artists will be in their own tents, while some are in the Barn, the Corn Crib, the Machine Shed and all of the other original buildings! Plus, there’s live music, kids activities, entertainment and food! Not to mention all of the amazing art!!!

So Cheryl Holz has been narrowing it down. Finalizing the pairings of her multi-media paintings with my stamped & soda-fired frames. Once she decides, and stops second-guessing herself, they will be adhered to the picture frame. Then they will all be making their way to ART IN THE BARN this weekend. We will reveal the collaboration in both of our booths… she’ll have half of them upstairs, and I’ll have the other half downstairs in The Barn.

Be sure to stop by… quantities are very limited!

It’s my final outdoor show of the season! ART IN THE BARN in Barrington. And it’s a big one… with a DOUBLE BOOTH full of pottery! Lots of bowls, mugs, vases, plates and all of the usuals… as well as ClayQuilts, masks and some other novelty pieces. Including the “big debut” of this year’s addition to The Ghouls Collection!

This weekend is the Ravenswood Art Walk.
A great chance to wander up & down Ravenswood and peek into all of the studios, workspaces & galleries hidden along the way.

And look who made it into the brochure!!! ME!!!
Looks like I was painting last year’s Zombies during the Art Walk when they took that photo?!

Not quite sure about the groovy pattern they overlayed on top of the photo…
makes it look like I have some sort of geometric skin condition???

ART IN THE BARN is just over a week away in Barrington…
and it looks like my favorite painter Cheryl Holz has been busy making pieces for the show.
Sure, they’re pretty and all… but they kinda need a frame, right?!
Maybe a clay one would be cool?…. you know how I LOVE a good collaboration!

Kickin’ off a little pre-art fair with a stop at my favorite Glenview hot spot!!!
After a VERY windy & wave-crashing clouded “sunrise” bike ride…
it’s great to find out that a half dozen donuts is really NINE at Joe Donut.

Now I’m not good at math, but?… and I’m not complaining either!!!

So by now you’ve probably figured it out…
artist collaborations are all the rage at ART IN THE GARDEN.
And I’ve been working on a fun combo with my buddy Cory McCrory.

We’re focusing on chip & dip bowls. I did the “chips” and she did the “dips.”
You get to mix & match your own perfect set while you’re at ART IN THE GARDEN!

Use it to serve chips & dips, veggies & dips, whatever…
or separate them and have two great bowls when you’re not doing snacks.
There’s a limited quantity… so stop by early if you want to match up your own perfect set!

Here’s just a few om my CHIP bowls… waiting to be matched up with one of Cory’s bowls!

It appears that my talented metalsmith friend Amy Taylor has gotten a bit out of control
on the whole collaboration thing… IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE!!!
Here’s a glimpse of the collaboration pieces she’s been making for ART IN THE GARDEN
with woodturner Ken Staggs!

We love this part of this art fair. So much fun working with each other to make new
& unusual pieces – only available this weekend at ART IN THE GARDEN in Glenview!!!
