Another kiln done for this weekend. This time a cone six glaze kiln with some bright colors. More fresh pots inside cooling… getting ready for this weekend’s ART IN THE GARDEN art fair in Glenview!

I’ve always loved the whimsical nature of Cory McCrory’s work… but these have me totally intrigued! I know they’re part of another collaboration project for ART IN THE GARDEN this weekend. But it’s not with me… and I can’t wait to see what’s going on?!

A big part of the FUN at this art fair is seeing the crazy & cool collaborations that happen between the artists!!!

You know by now that MUGS are my favorite thing to make!!! So of course there were plenty of them in this recent soda firing. Here’s just a few of them… headed to an art fair soon! Some will go to ART IN THE GARDEN this weekend… while others will go to ART IN THE BARN for the last weekend of September!

Look what just spilled out of the bag… kinda like “letting the cat out of the bag”… but it’s a bunch of beautiful mini-paintings by the talented Mary Foster! Just another collaboration in the works for this weekend’s ART IN THE GARDEN in Glenview! Now I’ve just got to add my part in the next couple days!!!

All done & drying… spouted, stamped & slip-painted… ready to go… currently cooling in the soda kiln! Okay, another belated photo posting. Now they’re almost ready for ART IN THE GARDEN next weekend in Glenview. These might “allegedly” be part of a collaboration project with my friend & “cohort in collaboration” Cory McCrory!!!

Well, it’s official… we’re just one week away from ART IN THE GARDEN! Everyone is excited about our little grassroots art fair in Glenview, Illinois. Jewelry is being polished. Mosaics are being grouted. Paintings are being framed. Kilns are being fired. Wood is being carved. Glass being leaded. Beads being formed in the flame. Fabric is being tie-dyed & batiked. So much going on… not to mention all of the artist collaborations coming together too!!! We hope to see you next weekend.
