Parts & pieces coming together… working on some new “collaboration” pieces for “4×4 : FOUR MAKERS.” Kinda loving how the underglazes are highlighting the textures made with some of my MKM Pottery Tools handrollers! Time to start glazing pretty soon! Just two more weeks until “4×4”!!!

Snow Day fun making SNOW DUCKS!!! My friend Tiffany brought her “snow duck maker” to work today… so we had to get outside to play for awhile. Making ducks obviously!!!

Sure, not a day off… just a day when we got snow. Don’t get too excited!

Today on the front page of the Food Section of the Chicago Tribune newspaper, my friend & former pottery student Martin Sorge is featured with his recipe for this beautiful pavlova dessert for Valentine’s Day! Huge congrats to Martin as he continues towards writing his own cookbook. And that pavlova looks AMAZING… even better when presented on a stamped pottery cake stand.

Last night in my pottery class, we had the new “Post Malone” OREOs. Tasty & caramelly… if that’s even a word?! However… as a lover of a good spiral… I will say there was never a spiral of filling to be found inside a cookie as shown on the packaging?! Maybe it was a bad batch… we might need to try another package???

Textured tiles now accented with colored slips & drying in a plastic grid to avoid warping! Can’t wait to fire these to see the colors pop… and quick… “4×4” is just two weeks away! Yikes!!!
