A treasure trove of textures. A bowl full of found rocks, agates & a few of my wheelthrown ornaments… a perfect collection for another Texture Tuesday. Thanks for sharing your collection Jody!

Tomorrow I’m headed out to Vernon Hills High School for a demo workshop with some of the Art students. We’re focusing on “not-so-basic bowls” which is one of my favorite demos! Looks like they’re excited & ready for my visit… at least based on this cute little “shrine” they made already!!! HA!!!
With the time-change today, it is already dark outside… before 5:00pm!!! Not liking that… but I will enjoy a little more sunrise time in the morning. Yet since it is dark, damp & chilly outside… looks like Beckie has a great solution with warm & cozy soup!!! Thanks for sharing Beckie!
10×10 : No sunrise ride today… what with the rain outside & my bike at the shop! So I started my day early in the studio instead. Cranking out another ten Christmas trees before 10:00 am. Is there such a thing as too many trees?… I think not.
After “warming up” with stamping a dinner plate, it was time to tackle a larger platter. A blank canvas… then a couple stamps using my own handmade stamp. Sure I coulda stopped after on ring around the perimeter… but what fun would that be???
Started with a little stamping in the studio tonight. Just adding a little “fun” to a dinner plate demo from class this week! And you know how I love a good spiral.
As I was cleaning out the garden today, I chopped down the old summer growth from my favorite globe thistle plant. But as I was cutting it down… I found all of this new growth inside… and a NEW FLOWER!!! I just couldn’t… so it’s still there living its best life!!!
It was a beautiful Fall day with a chance of rain tomorrow. With my bike at the shop… and coincidentally, my car at the shop too… what was I to do?! So this afternoon I tackled my front yard gardens. Trying to clean them up a bit before the bad weather sets in. My cousin Kim suggested I chop it all down… but some are still growing & a few dahlias are still blooming!!! Couldn’t cut them down… hoping for just a few more dahlia blossoms before the first hard freeze! Only got the side garden done… off to pick-up my car and then to the studio tonight!!!
Well THIS can’t be good?! What started out as a creaky-squeaky sound a few days ago has now become this?! That piece is surely NOT supposed to be sticking out like that & hitting my ankle as I pedal. Plus, the right pedal is no longer level, so my ankle is twisting in a weird way with every rotation. Looks like we’re headed to the bike shop today?! I know I ride a lot & pedal hard… but this??? ouch.

UPDATE :
It would have been an expensive $$$ repair … but apparently I’m not the first person this has happened to?! It’s actually covered under my TREK bike warranty as there is a “TREK warranty recall” of some sort?!!! So, I will be without my bike for a few days, but the repair will be FREE!!! whew…
A quiet November morning with just a few wispy clouds & a morning chill.
The last morning pedal before the time change and we Fall-back an hour overnight tonight.
