Not a cloud in the sky.
Just a beautiful morning for a beautiful bike ride.

With just a sliver of sunrise… and a lot of clouds just above the horizon, it was another amazing bike ride morning! I had kinda hoped for the sun to illuminate the clouds & splash fun colors everywhere… but alas, it was not to be!

Pedal on…

This colorful collaboration came home with me from ART IN THE GARDEN. A perky flower made by Cory Mccrory surrounded by beautiful mosaics by Kristin Dann Conneely. I especially loved how the beauty of the day was reflected in the broken mirrors… blue skies, green leaves… beautiful day!!!

Lots of clouds, but not a lot of sunrise this morning! Some dramatic cloud-cover hanging low on the horizon out over the lake. I kept hoping for some sunrise colors to splash across the clouds… but it never quite happened. So we got a lot of drama with some crashing waves to boot!

The new session of pottery classes started tonight with my Intermediate Wheelthrowing students… and Martin is back!!!

Huge THANKS to everyone who came out to ART IN THE GARDEN this weekend. We had such amazing weather both days… and such amazing customers! So much fun seeing everyone, chatting it up & sharing our artwork. And our collaboration projects all got a great response. We all had a great time… and already looking forward to next year as it will be our 10th Anniversary ART IN THE GARDEN show!!!

Well, we’re open for Day Two of ART IN THE GARDEN.. and we still have a few collaboration pieces for those Sunday shoppers! We’re open until 5:00pm and the weather looks fantastic again today! C’mon by… we’d love to see you!

Working in the basement trying to prep, price & pack three kilns worth of pottery for my next two shows!!! A lot to do… plus I might be miSTAKEn… but these still need to be prepped for this weekend! High STAKEs to get them done in time… HA!… any guesses?… new for Art In The “Garden”… hint, hint…

Well, after all of the process posts… it’s finally time to show off our birdhouse collaborations for ART IN THE GARDEN. And I will say, I think this might be my favorite “Cory Collaboration” of all time!!! We’ve generally done separate parts & pieces that then go together or assemble later. This is the first time that we’ve actually “worked” on the exact same pieces passing them off part way through the process. I built all of the textured birdhouse.. and then Cory added on her pieces of whimsy!!! And I think that this “tighter” collaboration has really paid off. I can’t wait for people to see them this weekend at ART IN THE GARDEN. There are only ten of them… first come, first served… and sorry, no dibs ahead of time!
