Colorful coleus in a stamped & soda-fired vase. Love the splash of color contrasting with the stamped & soda-fired texture of the vase. Thanks for sharing your beauties Rosene!
Starting off another day of Summer Camp looking longingly through the skylights at Lillstreet… just waiting for my kids to show up!
Looks like the new Lillstreet soda kiln is coming along quite nicely… brick by brick. Thanks to Doug Jeppesen & Neil Estrick for working on our kiln for us!
Just received a new carved rolling pin from Elaine Diamond at Vermont Pottery Works @epdiamond! Ready to give it a test run!!! It worked great… with nice crisp lines & patterns. But I kinda like the overlapping & interaction of patterns… so I embellished a bit more with two other rollers. More is more, right?!

Tiny little textures…
tiny little acorns just getting started on a big oak tree.
A cute little way to celebrate Texture Tuesday!
Imagine my surprise & sudden excitement when I saw these cases of OREOs in the back hallway by the freight elevator at Lillstreet Art Center. I was taking my summer campers up to the rooftop for lunch… and we all saw these boxes of yumminess!!! SO EXCITING!!! Until we realized they were just OREO crumbles for the “First Slice” kitchen to make as a cookie pie crust. mwah, mwah, mwah…
Another beautiful ride, but with the sunrise getting later each day, I’m finding it a bit harder to post my sunrise photos each morning before I head off to Summer Camp?! So you may need to “suffer through” a few sunrise photos later in the day… if that’s okay by you?!
Working in the studio tonight after Summer Camp. Trying to get caught-up on a bunch of pieces that have been sitting around under plastic for awhile. Finally got around to stamping this platter that was a class demo piece last week. It”s always amazing to me to see how just one handmade stamp can make such a difference!
When bad things happen on a Mugshot Monday!
Yep, a sad day… but in the end, “it’s just clay!”
Even worse as Patty just broke her husband’s favorite mug!!! Uh oh.
